The problem here is a plethora of abstraction and lack of concrete example. Let's start with the concrete. The idea of freedom of speech, in this country anyway, has its roots in a basic assumption of the founding fathers, this idea can be found and, has as its best exemplar, the phrase "We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal". This line, as most of you know, can be found in the Declaration Of Independence. Its a beautiful thought and one that has been, thankfully, codified intro our laws. But its also manifestly untrue. "Men" - and for that matter, women, are "created" poor, or developmentally disabled, or rich or beautiful, or whatever. No one is created equal, except perhaps, in the eyes of God. Which is, come to think of it, a pretty good reason for believing (as I do, but perhaps not everyone - and that's o.k.) in such a thing as God. So here we can see, that this particular (and really, most) law has at its foundation, philosophy, not "Truth", despite its now being the law. It IS the law, which is based upon a philosophy, which in turn is based upon a beautiful and fortuitous lie. Now, let's try and keep that last part to ourselves, shall we? to maintain equal, all things simply need to be turned upside down, or down side up, side to side, or mirror to mirror??? philosophy is based in truth, and truth is based in philosophy??? freedom of speech is but all the things mentioned here by all, as philosophical, truthful, legalful, freedomful, expressionful, beautiful??? is it but to first look at another, seeking to instruct or change to a self way of thought, or as self as more correct, which does not allow all things to be added together, just as all eye's viewing a fine piece of artwork, all eye's telling of what it see in the portrait, would be spoken by all people's differently, but all eye's viewing the portrait are correct, and added together, give the largest perception of the portrait??? to not add all perceptions together, is as one viewing the sky as pink, and another as blue, and yet another as white, and yet another as black, but the one that prove to itself how all other "views" are correct, then this one add to itself the knowing of how the sky "BECOME" as blue, and pink, and white and black??? if they are seperated, or as ONE thing wished to be found as a beginning, or as ONE truth, is why all things of man end up as unequal??? born poor, or developmentally disabled, or rich or beautiful, are all to be seen as equal thru the equal eye and fair eye, and is how all things are created into equal and just and fair??? in other words, show no favor to one or the other as better??? how is all man as created equal as a lie, lest one see not all man as equal??? what is a lie, except not seeing the whole truth??? so is twas but partial truth, so the eye of wisdom that see all as truth, gain the rest of the truth to add the rest of what was but partial, and believing in lie's and not lie's can never afford this??? great insight man... just thoughts your great post brought to mind... peace man |

 We USED TO have freedoms in this country. Not so much anymore.We traded our freedom for a false sense of security.
