IF man evolved or even diverged from a chimp...... then why is the chimp still around ? I just answered this question for you this morning! You're not even trying to educate yourself. |

Btw...Neanderthal man and Homosapien are of the same species...called MAN!!! Neanderthal is probably that first early man , who lived to be 930 years old... and of course the long age of his body , would create some physiological changes over time.... I mean, it is all just common sense really. Also...God created first man to live 900 years....and then it decreased to around 200 to 300 years.and has been decreasing ever since... meaning... man is not evolving but dying..as God said man would, after sin entered in. until he is born again(then he has eternal life once more). But Neanderthal and Homo Sapien(of the same species called man) , do NOT share a common ancestor with chimps( a WHOLE different species altogether ). And one more thing... for Neanderthal man to be able to have lived to be around 900 years of age, would have required God giving Neanderthal man a slightly different dna makeup than modern man(homo sapien). All just commom sense ..let's think here folks!! Homo sapiens and Neanderthals aren't the same species, try again. They're in the same genus, Homo. (insert giggle here) If you don't even understand how animals are classified how are you to understand how evolution works? |

Voil.....one day born again man will also acquire new heavenly bodies... also ... one day there will be a new heaven and a new earth.... but all this change........ still still will take place within ...its.. own ... kind..... ONLY!!! Meaning.....even the heavens and the earth will NOT change into something ENTIRELY DIFFERENT from ITS OWN ORIGINAL KIND!!! And that includes man when he acquires his new heavenly body.... he will still be whom God created him to be .... MAN...but man with just a new body!!! And... When there will be a new heaven and a new earth one day, Earth will still REMAIN EARTH.....and heaven will still REMAIN heaven.... but will be just BRAND NEW... that's all....but will still remain earth....and NOT become some OTHER planet all of a sudden!! Same with heaven. "Everything Reproduces afer its own Kind" ONLY.... NEVER into another Kind. God's Word Does Not Change. But Change does and Will Take place.... but it will ALWAYS be WITHIN its own kind.... and This kind of change is in accordance with God's Word. And therefore, does not go against God's Word...which btw....does NOT change. God's Word Does NOT Change !!! EVER. See? ps... Also ... God can NEVER go AGAINST His Word either... that is why ,when man sinned , God came up with a plan that was just...and did not go against His Word. The gospel message is quite simple.....really.,.. IF we just take time to listen.... with our hearts Not to push the issue here, but if God created man in his own image, but as science has proven we have evolved from a more primal being... we are not currently what God had created us as. Atleast that's what my logic says. And to say that we will change into some new heavenly body sounds more like the transition to the afterlife than a God's explaination of evolution. |

MOrningSong,
I feel bad for you... I really do. I just read this thread again in its entirety, and you seem to just repeat the same obsurd delusional opinions over and over and over again. If I had a god, I'd be praying for you right about now! -M |

Mahan ....I respect yours and everyone elses opinion here...
and I understand that we will not always agree. Which is fine. Btw, I try to share what the Word of God says....not my opinion. But regardless, let's not allow our disagreements to keep us from continuing to peacefully share and learn...as we have been doing here . Ok.....I know this is off topic... but since neanderthal man was also briefly mentioned earlier in this thread, I thought I'd quickly share this: http://www.biblestudy.org/basicart/who-was-neanderthal-man-was-he-the-missing-link.html Mahan...and Everyone....May You All Have a Great Day Now. |

MorningSong,
I apologize for my earlier comment. That wasn't real nice of me, was it? I wish I could delete it, but there is no "edit" option there! And thank you for the link. I'll check it out. |

Yeah MS those apologetics websites are not always your best source for a credible analysis of scientific data. Try this one:
Aug. 7, 2008 -- DNA extracted from a 38,000-year-old Neanderthal bone has just enabled scientists to sequence the complete mitochondrial genome for the human-like species, according to a paper that will be published tomorrow in the journal Cell. (Great article by the way) The remarkable feat, which has led to at least three major discoveries about the extinct stocky European individuals, represents a breakthrough for studies on the human family. "This is the first complete mitochondrial genome sequence from an extinct hominid," lead author Richard Green explained to Discovery News. Mitochondria, which an individual inherits from his or her mother, are cellular powerhouses that possess their own DNA and include 13 protein-coding genes. The researchers sequenced the Neanderthal mitochondria 35 times to ensure their findings were as accurate as possible. After studying the newly completed genome, Green, a researcher at the Max-Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Germany, and his team first concluded that the Neanderthal mitochondria falls outside the range of variation found in humans today, offering no evidence that interbreeding occurred between them and us. The researchers are quick to add that such interbreeding could still have happened and that the Neanderthals' "exact relationship with modern humans remains a topic of debate." Clearer is the fact that Neanderthals and humans split from a common ancestor around 660,000 years ago. The researchers based this initially upon prior research that determined humans and chimpanzees diverged from each other six to eight million years ago. They calculated mtDNA sequence changes for both humans and Neanderthals since that time. These accumulated changes then "let us calculate how long ago was the most recent common ancestor of humans and Neanderthals," Green said. He added, "This common ancestor likely looked something like Homo erectus." This extinct hominid is believed to have been super strong with a relatively large head and brain. What most surprised the scientists was how little purification acted upon the Neanderthal's DNA, meaning that the elimination of slightly deleterious alleles, or variant gene forms, didn't occur very often within the population. |

Godwin's Law (also known as Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies) is an adage formulated by Mike Godwin in 1990. The law states: "As a Usenet discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one."
Godwin's Law is often cited in online discussions as a deterrent against the use of arguments in the reductio ad Hitlerum form. |

Btw, I try to share what the Word of God says....not my opinion. Its your opinion that it is the word of god. This is insulting to any scientific way of thinking. The problem is with creation science that it starts with the concept of truth from the "word of god" then tries to find facts to back it up. The Scientific method starts the other way around. What I find interesting is that if god does exist he would be an evolution proponent, there is no other way to explain the great diversity and complexity of life. What a wonderful thing. |

ok now I have heard 92% 89% 98% so which is it....please hello people theory is just a theory until you show me proof...and I have not seen proof yet.....why you may wonder because there is none.....And it's a good excuse to assume we don't understand evolution...but see we do..and not only that but also understand creation....which you have no clue....so yea ok
IF man evolved or even diverged from a chimp...... then why is the chimp still around ? You're not serious, are you? Just google "Are chimps evolving?" and read the articles! Are chimps evolving? Perhaps so....and if so....it would ONLY be WITHIN their OWN SPECIES!! BUT.... chimps CANNOT evolve into a WHOLE OTHER SPECIES !!!! NEVER HAVE and NEVER WILL!!! Cause God's WORD does NOT Lie. we share 89% the same DNA as the ape. I'm sure god did that just to mess with us so people will think we evolved and then more people will go to his hell. |
