I was at church last sunday and my pastor talked about PERFECT LOVE(OR PURE LOVE) he says after Adam and Eve who had the PERFECT LOVE chose to eat the apple they ended up with IMPERFECT LOVE...............he also said they are the only humans who have experienced that PERFECTION and that we will never experience that PERFECT LOVE that they did because in other words we have been doomed by GOD..............so that is why we have so many problems in our relationships because we have IMPERFECT LOVE..............
so my question is why are we still searching for LOVE when its IMPERFECT LOVE that we have inherited from ADAM AND EVE.............. |

You may not believe in Adam and Eve but i hope you believe in a higher power...............i am not a religious person and i havent been in church for the past 4 years and before that I hadnt been for 15 years..........what I have to say about my pastor saying that for the first time makes sense...................because regardless of anything we believe that we can love and we do love and that to me tells me that there are other works in present that we dont know but also regardless of believing in Adam and Eve we do have IMPERFECT love and that is why we search and search but cant find and when we do we end up blaming ourselves and others for that...............but isnt it a little justifiable to know that we are reaching for something that is unattainable and it has nothing to do with us personally that it was intended..............thats my whole premise is that we are in search for something that isnt unattainable but because we still search then maybe just maybe we believe that someone or something of a higher power is there to guide us...........JMO |

some are content to live life catering to the other, but what's the point in that? it should be best friends, fifty fifty, no "i'm the man, you're the woman" crap. that's a trump card played by the sexes to get what they desire, and it limits the friendship to only grow to certain limits before it's doomed. they say that relationships were stronger back aways, but in truth, they were regulated by one or more parties,(usually the man) and women were afraid to branch out on their own, and for good reason, but i don't need to get into that, for you understand it more than most could fathom, and your strength and wit is what men fear, for they can't get around their own barriers, no matter how intelligent they may be......their insecurities trump themselves into the greatest adventure that they could ever wish for, but the two edge sword is mighty yet.... i council many on here, and some will just never let it go, or let their guard down and show their true strength, and vulnerability, for they are one in the same, where the heart is concerned, reguardless of gender.

I think he went a little short of the concept because of the Christian revulsion of the idea that the "Pure" Jesus Christ could have any kind of relationship with a woman.
The concept of Pure Love is like this. The woman Jesus saved from stoning was to die because she was a prostitute that got caught. Now Jesus saving her made an impression on the woman but as time passed Jesus as he taught shown her a different light and the two became very close. Keep in mind the Catholic Church has written the bible and also hold documents that are germane to the real history but they keep them under lock and key to protect their traditions and dogma. the Scripture of Judas paints a different picture of Mary as being an active apostle. Mary potentially has been misrepresented as a "Sinner" but still the thought of Jesus kanudleing with any woman freaks people out. Saviors have to be bigger than life. Now if Mary Magdalena and Mary of Bethany are the same person then if it was true that Jesus and her had something going on then it was true love because he overlooked what her past was. He overlooked everything about her. His love for her was perfect. It had no rules or conditions. At times people do experience perfect love if they are really lucky. It does take some strange forms though. Problem with perfect love is it can bite you the wrong way... |

Well, if you read the Bible's definition of perfect love you may not like it. Especially if you are a woman.
Perfect love, according to the God of Abraham, is when the woman does only what her husband tells her to do and never talks back to him or questions his authority over her. So if you're a woman and you are seeking perfect love all you need to do is give yourself over to a man and never question his authority. That's Perfect Love according to the God of Abraham. I can only imagine that since this is what the bibilical God expected of humans then he will also expect this same type of behavior in his kingdom of heaven. Christian women better read the fine print before they sign up for tickets to Heaven. The Biblical God created women as a helpmate for the man. They are secondary to men according to the God of Abraham. I'm quite sure that most women who claim to be Christians have no clue what they are in for. They are so focused on Jesus being their savior that they have totally missed the point of what they are being saved from. But what they are being saved from is their own rebellion from Perfect Love and total obedience to their husbands who they will be sold to in exchange for some oxen. God does not allow for women to choose their own mates. They are to be bought and sold as property. That's the God of Abraham's idea of Perfect Love. So if you want the Bible's version of "Perfect Love", just give yourself over to the first man who wants you and do precisely as he says for the rest of your life. It doesn't matter if you don't like him that's not the point to God's idea of Perfect Love. The God of Abraham is a male chauvinist God. He created Eve from a rib of Adam. Even is Adam's property. She's the one who fell from grace and brought the whole human race down with her. She questioned the authority of GOD himself! Mr. Jealous Macho Male Chauvinist Egotist. That's the Biblical God of Abraham. And Jesus was just his sacrificial lamb. Jesus isn't even God. He was just the lamb of God. Perfect Love is total obedienece to MEN! Don't look at me. I'm just telling you how the myth goes. Personally I don't believe a word of it. I'm totally convinced that the whole thing was made up by arrogant male chaunvinistic pigs. Why should I believe that the creator of this unvierse is a macho male pig?  Personally I think that Greek Mythology was a more well-rounded story. At least they had Aphrodites.  |
