Am I shallow for letting a woman's weight influence my decision to date her? i don't mean 5-15 lbs overweight - more like 25+ pounds

-other than her weight I quite liked her

Your choice...all I can say is thank you, at least that is the possibility of me finding a good woman raised by another 1%...

Nope. To each his own. Everyone has reasons.

you are free to date whomever you chose; regardless if considered shallow by anyone

you chose not to date women overweight by at least 25 lbs.

I am sure there are women who will not date hairy men.

Good thing we are so diverse

as long as you don't come right out and announce that is the reason you're not interested in someone, i don't think so.

it's just like preferring a blond over a brunette IMO

I don't think having preferences make you shallow -- it makes you selective.

Everybody has preferences -- but there are some who just don't like to admit it.

Stick with what you know you want -- anything less is a concession....Hey, I take some grief over my preferences, but I've "been there, done that" -- I've seen the results when I'm NOT selective enough -- and I DON'T want to waste my time going back there....

Yes..........and no.

You should endevor to remember that weight is a transient condition.

The chick can loose the weight....and will still be the woman you already like on the inside.

You might find some woman with a kick ass body.....and choose her. But she just might turn out to be a ho.

I'd go with how she makes you feel on the inside. Take it from there. I'm sure you have plenty of time before it gets too serious to decide whether or not you can deal with her extra weight.....or if she intends to do anything about it.

Not at all. Physical attraction is a must....that said it goes both ways.

Just because a person is one weight when you meet them doesn't mean that they'll be the same weight when they're older.
