In love with the idea of being in love, yeah I will agree with that, but then reality hits you in the face pretty hard sometimes. This is also true with some people I know who lost their faith by following con artists or crazies, that they thought were good people teaching about the love of g-d.

A big thing, back when you are young and idealistic is to say, "I have no expectations about you." But can this really be true? I think we do have an idea or an expectation that we either go against or with, its very hard to rid the mind and the heart of what it does almost naturally and this is to want something, to want something very badly, to long for it, so I think you do expect to find it or to get it...do you think you should expect it?

I think we are geared to believe what we want to believe. You can see that on the religious posts, such as, some people only accepting data that proves their point and refuse to see what is wrong with the data. How many times have your friends warned you about someone and you fell in love anyway? But if we approach things too scientifically where is the mystery or magic or romance in life. Life so they say is but a dream and then it slips away....

That is a line I usually don't cross, if you ever read about Mother Theresa losing her faith it is heart wrenching. But open discussion and debate with people who want to is fine. I don't try to shove my beliefs on anyone, just a little Socratic method aimed at "Know Thyself"

Look at the crash on the Hudson and DENY GOD doesn't exist, pilot skills played a part but God saved them all "Kojak" ..you keep saying things but never explain how you reach those conclusions..let me guess you have faith and don't need to explain it rationally so what about the airplanes that crash and everyone dies...does that also prove God's existence? ...or does your faith requires you to blame that on Satan or Man I do have faith. If I need to explain it then you have lost out on so many things in life. Have you ever heard the saying " The last one to notice the water are the fish" well sir if you don t believe that the glorious things you see everyday are the creation of a Supreme being that I call God then.... "Kojak" ..just as I propheized that you would claimed faith ...so maybe now I'm Funches the Prophet or maybe I knew you would claim faith because I had a vision you would or my prophecy was inspired by God .. see how the fantasy of faith works..it aids you from having to give a rational answer to anything or just admitting that you can't answer the question posed to you rationally |

I'd just like to clarify what I know from my own experiences is that it is not a delusion to believe in Jesus Christ, but it IS a delusion to think that you are Jesus Christ. "WallaceStevens" ..that would mean that anyone that believe they were reincarnated or had past lives is delusional |

Adam had many sons and daughters, back then it was ok to date your brother and sister only because the earth was not as populated.
Only later did he say it was repulsive. Yes seth was also Adams son, But Cain was not. |
