........Call to Salvation.........
The wisdom of the world would have us to believe that all the religions of the world are basically the same, that all roads lead to heaven, regardless of what or whom we believe in. But is this true? Jesus said, “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. NO one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 Acts 4:12 says “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Today, my friends, I must be very blunt. If you do not have Jesus in your heart, you cannot be saved! Without Jesus, there is no Salvation. Period. I'm sorry! But somebody has to love you enough to tell you, and today, I am committed to telling you that truth. “But,” you say, “I’m already a Christian! I was raised in a Christian home. We aren’t Buddhist, Muslim, Jewish or Hindu – and we go to church on Easter and Christmas, therefore we are Christians!” Did you know the Bible doesn’t say anywhere , that you can earn Heaven and eternal life by calling yourself a Christian? “Okay,” you answer, “but I went to Christian parochial school. I attended Catechism classes (or Sabbath school or Sunday school classes) all my life. I wear a cross (or a St. Christopher) around my neck!” That’s cool, but did you know the Bible doesn’t say that you get to go to Heaven and have eternal life by going to church, Catechism, Sabbath or Sunday school classes or by wearing a cross or St. Christopher around your neck? “Well you mightt say. . . I read the bible and I pray…everyday!” I’m really glad you do! And since you do, you will already know that the Bible doesn’t say you can get to Heaven and have eternal life through prayer and Bible study alone! “Okay. But I love God!” That’s terrific. But did you know that the 19 terrorists who flew the airplanes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001, also said they loved God? Did you know that the Bible doesn’t say anything about getting to Heaven and obtaining eternal life through your love for God alone? “But someone told me once that if I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, I can go to Heaven and have eternal life…” May I again be blunt? The Bible says that even DEMONS believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God (James 2:19), and that SATAN himself believes Jesus is the Son of God! The Bible says that Jesus has prepared an eternal lake of fire for the devil and his angels (Matt 25:41)! Their belief in Jesus certainly isn’t going to bring them eternal life in Heaven! “But I have kept all of the Ten Commandments my entire life!” That's great! But did you know the Bible doesn’t say that keeping the Ten Commandments will earn you eternal life? My friends, it simply isn’t in the Book! Let’s consider the story of Nicodemus for a moment. Nicodemus was a Pharisee, a strict observer of the law. He memorized the Scripture, sang the Scripture and taught from the Word of God in the Synagogue every Sabbath. One would have thought that when Nicodemus came to Jesus, the Lord would have patted him on the back and said, “Well done, Nick! Heaven awaits you!” But that isn’t what the Lord said to Nicodemus at all. Instead, He tells Nicodemus that unless he is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God. He told Nicodemus, “YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN” (John 3:3). What does this mean to you? It means you must be born again to go to heaven and have eternal life! So what does it mean to be born again? It means that you must give Jesus all of your heart and all of your life. It’s that simple! If you have never done so, then you are not saved. (Again, I’m sorry! But somebody has to love you enough to tell you.) From the Genesis 1:1 to the maps at the back of the Book, the Word of God never changes! You must give God all of your heart and all of your life. This means Jesus must be the Lord of your life. It means that you make Him your Boss! If you have never made Him Boss of your life, then you are not saved. It is that simple. “But I prayed that Salvation prayer at a Billy Graham Crusade (or a Harvest Crusade)! I answered an altar call at my church once!” That’s great! But did your life FOLLOW the prayer? Did you know that the Bible doesn’t say anywhere that praying a prayer will get you to Heaven? Sure, the prayer is important, but did you give Him all of your heart and all of your life when you prayed the prayer? Did you make Him Boss of your life? Or was it just some sort of “fire insurance” that gave you confidence to live your life as you pleased without the fear of going to hell? Can I tell you something? It simply doesn’t work that way. It is an ALL or NOTHING relationship with God. Either you give Him all of you heart and all of your life, and you make Him Boss over your life, or you’re NOT saved! My friends, now is the time to check up on yourselves! Today is YOUR day of Salvation. In just a moment, I’m going to give you the opportunity to become right with God, to give Him all of your heart and all of your life, and to obtain the assurance of life eternal in Heaven. “And just who should respond to this call?” Let me answer by asking you some questions: Have you ever given Jesus all of your heart and all of your life? If not, then today is your day of Salvation! Have you ever made Jesus the Boss of your life? If not, then today is your day of Salvation! Have you been living your life for yourself and not for Jesus? If so, then today is your day of Salvation! Have you been running from God instead of to God? If so, then today is your day of Salvation! Do you have Jesus in your head instead of your heart? If so, then today is your day of Salvation! If any of these scenarios describe you, I would like to pray a prayer with you. If you’re not sure if this describes you …. MAKE SURE! If you’re wondering if I’m talking to you…. I AM! Today is your day of Salvation! If you are ready to receive Jesus Christ now, as your Lord and Saviour, as your boss, to give Him all of your heart and all of your life now, please just say, “That’s me! And I’m ready to go all the way with Jesus!” Hallelujah! If you have answered this call, please click the link below... Please follow this link now... http://answers2prayer.org/salvation_prayer.html I will lead you in the prayer of salvation. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you’ Matt 7:7 © 2002 Answers2Prayer |

Jesus said, “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. NO one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 It's impossible to know whether the man named Jesus ever said any such thing. Clearly all we have is a scripture that was supposedly written by some guy name John who claims that Jesus said something along those lines. Scholars are in fair agreement that these "gospels" of the Bible were most likely written down several decades after the man named Jesus had died. So at the very best these words are nothing more than John's best recolection, and most certainly not a verbatim recording of the man named Jesus actually said. Moreover, there is very good reason to believe that the writings of this man named 'John', may have very well have been tampered with, edited, or even fabricated entirely. Know one can know for sure. There is actually very good reasons to believe that they were fabrications. The reason is simple. Historically it is pretty clear that the early "Christians", (meaning followers of Jesus) actually differed quite a bit in their views of what Jesus stood for. Many of them believed that he had actually rejected the Old Testament and that this was indeed the very reason why he was crucified. There were many arguments about the "rumors" of Jesus. Jesus' crucifixion was clearly a cause of commotion. It appears to have been well-know that Jesus had denounced a lot of the things that were taught by the Old Testament. He clearly objected to stoning sinners to death. He clearly objected to revenge (an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth), instead he taught forgiveness (turn the other cheek). Many early "Christians" saw Jesus as having denounced the ways of the Old Testament, including the Jews who incited his crucifixion. You can't blame the Jews because their God of Abraham specifically commanded them to murder heathens. And Jesus was certainly a heathen as he was teaching against the laws of the Old Testament. So if they Jews had incited his crucifixion it was only because they were doing the will of the God of Abraham as that God had instructed them to do. In fact, the very idea that the God of Abraham would have been stupid enough to instruct people to murder heathens and then send his only begotten into that crowd to preach heathen ideas would be ludicrous. Clearly Jesus could not have been the Son of the God of Abraham. And many early "Christians" who liked what Jesus had to say believed just that. They believed that Jesus was a man, not the son of the God of Abraham. On the contrary he was clearly denouncing the teachings of that doctrine. Well, the authoritarians (the pharisees) felt differently. At first they probably just tried to denounce Jesus, but Jesus had become quite the martrydom, so it wasn't easy to ignore the effect he had made on the masses. There were many arguments concerning the rumors of Jesus and what he stood for. So the authoritarians took the rumors and re-wrote them into what we now have accepted as the modern "gosples". And in those gospels they tried to make it out like Jesus was actually supporting the Old Testament and was the sacrifical lamb of God. Then, after they wrote these "gospels" they proclaimed them as the Holy Scriptures and decreed that any man who denounces the Holy Scriptures will be accused of blaspheme and executed. And thus the modern version of the rumor became the law of the Church. This I believe. Jesus was used as a patsy by the authoritarians to prop up the very dogma that Jesus himself had clearly denounced. I don't trust the New Testament to be accurate quotes of Jesus. Clearly if Jesus had actually been God and he has something he wanted to say he would have written it down himself. Clearly Jesus was not the creator of this universe. Nor the son of the creator of this universe. Finally, this whole thread is a violation of this forum's rules because it's clearly aimed at one religion and the support thereof which is clear violtion of the following forum rule: Also, topics which are designated for response exclusively from one religion or belief system, or which may cause that type of polarization, will be deleted. The concept behind these forums is to encourage anyone to participate and post their opinions and thoughts as long as they are on-topic. Topics which do not adhere to that philosophy will be removed, and the poster may lose his/her posting privileges. Clearly this is thread is blatant proselytizing. It's nothing more than spam for a specific religion. Definitely a violation of the forum rules. |

Today, my friends, I must be very blunt.
If you do not have Jesus in your heart, you cannot be saved! Without Jesus, there is no Salvation. Period. I'm sorry! Well, there's no need to be sorry MorningSong. I most certainly have Jesus in my heart. He was a wonderful man who denounced the dogma of the God of Abraham. Jesus was a Buddhist who tried to save the Jews from their godforsaken dogma. Clearly he denounced the teaching of that dogma, and tried to tell the Jews that they too are Gods. So you see MorningSong, Jesus has saved me from that gawdaweful dogma. Hopefully someday he will also save you. |

Morning song with all due respect I think this subject matter might fall under the jurisdiction of out an out proselytizing and you guys were given your own forum for that called "Christian Singles." come on give "MorningSong' a break, ...imagine the conversations that are taking place there in Christians Singles...or perhaps the lack of conversation ...MorningSong is probably going nut-so by now and may need time away from them so let's welcome MorningSong and her restricting faith with open arms of debate and then she may realize that maybe this is the way Heaven should be I know that MorningSong means well. For she knows not what she does. The sheep will forever support the wolf. |

You know Abra, I've heard it said that the religion closest to the bible is Buddism, and I would agree. They teach that all suffering comes from desire. Take away the desire, you take away suffering. I like the four doctrines or whatever they are.
I wonder if you're not confusing Jewish law with Talmudic Jewish law, which came from Babylon, not the bible. I never did apologize to you for attacking you when I first joined. Was very "unchristian" of me. You and Krimsa ask very good questions and make us actually think. It is a good work out. |

Actually, I am going to ask the mods to delete this thread....
because after posting, I thought about it more....and realized some errors within this post.... for one, God does NOT require we make Jesus BOSS...in order to be SAVED!!! God is NOT a dictator...all God asks is we RECIEVE his SON JESUS.....the free gift of Grace OFFERED FREELY TO ALL.......NO OTHER REQUIREMENTS!!!!! GOD JUST WANTS US TO MEAN IT, WHEN WE RECIEVE HIS SON JESUS...INTO OUR HEARTS!! IN OTHER WORDS...IT IS NOT A REQUIREMENT , THAT WE MAKE JESUS LORD OVER OUR ENTIRE LIFE YET, IN ORDER TO BE SAVED.... WE ARE ONLY REQUIRED TO RECIEVE THAT FREE GIFT OF GRACE AND MEAN IT...IN OUR HEARTS.... CAUSE.....BABES IN CHRIST ARE NOT GONNA EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT MAKING JESUS LORD OVER THEIR LIFE, EVEN MEANS YET!! THAT COMES LATER ON ..AFTER SALVATION......AS WE LEARN AND GROW UP IN THE FAITH!! SO... AM ASKING THIS THREAD BE DELETED......MY SPIRIT IS NOT IN AGREEMENT.. WITH THAT ONE PART OF IT. There are actually some groups out there... teaching...that unless you make Jesus LORD over every nit and tiddle of your life, right at the moment of salvation, that you are not saved!!! WRONG!!! THAT IS ERROR!!! Salvation is not that way at all...however.....when WE DO BECOME TRULY SAVED.... and .... as we learn and grow up in the Faith, we WILL eventually make Jesus Lord over EVERY area of our lives...IF we are Truly saved, that is!!! but again..this is NOT a requirement, at the VERY MOMENT OF SALVATION AT ALL!!! So.... Mods..delete this thread, please...? Thank You. |

Abra....read the parable of the sower....
Abra...those many years ago when you asked Jesus in, the enemy stole the seed of the Word.... but God ain't done with you. God is going to show you who he truly is....... but only when you ask Him to... God waits on youAbra.... to ask....instead of telling God who you THINK He is. The Holy Spirit is a gentleman and won't force Himself on You. Are you Ready to ask with that beautiful childlike spirit that is in you , Abra? God is simply waiting....on you |

Sometimes you're so funny. You mention how you're sometimes condemned for the things you say here, then it seems you add a "but" to explain how you're above the condemnation. Then you continue by condemning those who don't express their ideas as you think they should. Even funnier is when you finish it off by speaking of how others place blame. |

EVERYTHING ESLE...I AGREE WITH.... IN THE ORIGINAL POST..... EXCEPT .... for the part WHERE IT MAKES IT A REQUIREMENT TO MAKE JESUS BOSS....RIGHT AT THE MOMENT OF SALVATION. THAT would be the same as adding works to faith....AND IS NOT SCRIPTURAL. AGAIN...SALVATION IS A FREE GIFT OF GRACE... NOTHING ADDED..... NOTHING ESLE REQUIRED... EXCEPT A SINCERE HEART!!!! HOWEVER...AFTER A PERSON IS TRULY SAVED...THEY AUTOMATICALLY WILL MAKE JESUS LORD OF THEIR LIFE... CAUSE THEY ARE A CHILD OF GOD NOW...BORN OF GOD..AND THEREFORE, WANT TO PLEASE THE LORD... BUT AGAIN...THIS IS NOT A REQUIREMENT AT THE VERY MOMENT OF SALVATION!! THERE ARE ALSO SOME GROUPS, WHO ALSO TEACH , THAT YOU MUST BE WATER BAPTISED ,IN ORDER TO BE SAVED TOO....WRONG!! YES..THAT FOLLOWS SALVATION..AS PROOF YOU MEANT BUSINESS..BUT THAT IS NOT NOT NOT A REQUIRMENT AT THE MOMENT OF SALVATION... JUST LIKE MAKING JESSU BOSS, IS NOT A REQUIRMENT AT THE MOMENT OF SALVATION!!! AGAIN....SALVATION IS A FREE GIFT OF GRACE!!!! NOTHING WE CAN DO ,CAN ADD TO THAT!!! CAUSE JESUS ALREADY PAID THE PRICE.... IN FULL!!! BUT AGAIN....MAKING JESUS BOSS OR LORD OF OUR LIFE, WILL FOLLOW AFTER SALVATION...IF WE WERE TRULY SAVED..AND MEANT BUSINESS WITH GOD. THE MORE WE GROW, THE MORE WE WANT TO MAKE JESUS LORD OVER EVERY AREA OF OUR LIFE. NOTICE....WE WANT TO MAKE JESUS LORD OVER ALL OUR LIFE.....OUT OF LOVE FOR GOD..AND NO OTHER REASON . |
|
|
|
HOWEVER...IF A PERSON IS TRULY SAVED...THEY AUTOMATICALLY WILL MAKE JESUS LORD OF THEIR LIFE...
If they did that then they would denounce the God of Abraham and the Old Testament just like he did. |

One final note, to explain why this making Jesus Boss, right at Salvation, is not scriptural. (just in case some are misunderstanding this). There were a couple of christian groups, I visited some years ago... and although they were sincere in their faith, they were caught up in legalism. For example.... One group felt that some of the young babes in Christ, were not even saved at all, simply because they still smoked cigarettes.... and therefore, these young kids, who had sincerely accepted Christ, were being told by this group, that they were NOT saved at all yet..simply because they had not yet given up cigarettes.... and therefore ,were being told, they had to give up cigarettes first....and make Jesus Lord over EVERY area of their life, in order to be saved!! HOGWASH!!! This is NOT scriptural!!! Another group I knew, taught that anyone who was not water baptised at the very moment of salvation ,was not saved!! HOGWASH!!! That would be like saying, that Jesus did not do enough for us on that cross..and that we think we have to add our own works!! Pure nonsense...and unscriptural!! Hope this clarifies any misunderstanding here, about it not being neccessary to make Jesus Lord over every area of your life yet,at the very moment of salvation, in order to be saved ....or..that we have to add water baptism..in order to be saved(sadly, another argument going on out there). Again....water baptism comes afterward...as proof of our salvation....... and making Jesus Lord over every area of our life, comes more and more ,as one learns and grow in the faith. The more one grows, the more one yields their life to Christ ...and eventually makes Jesus Lord over every area of their life. Some do this immediately...which is good...others yield their lives to Christ over time...more and more....the more they grow. Some that make Jesus Lord immediately over EVERY area of their life ...right from the moment of Savation out of a sincere heart.......but then fail in some areas, doesn't mean they are NOT saved!! Babes will fall down and poo po in their diapers..and therefore, are not expected to be grown up overnight...or to give up some worldly habits overnight either. But eventully in time, a christian will make Jesus Lord over every area of his life....the more he learns and grows... simply because he wants to please God. But One last time...salvation is a free gift of grace... and only requires a sincere heart. AFterwards, God is the One who cleans us up... God does NOT require us to get cleaned up first, before we can come to Him!! Amen?? Amen!! Ok...Nuff said. Be Blessed Now. |
