As we get older do you think we lower or raise our standards on people? Hopefully as we get older, we get wiser. I think that we ought to judge less and accept people for who they are and not try & change them. If we do become wiser, I think that we become a bit more picky in the kind of person we are looking for in a relationship cause we can see through the BS. Been there, done that kind of thing. |

There's no doubt I raise my standards. In our youth, we're impressionable as we grow and learn. One would only think that by the time a person reaches mature adulthood that they would've applied the knowledge they have already gained over the years, and would continue striving to improve themselves daily (at least, that's how I do it). With age and maturity comes knowledge and experience, and the only direction for these qualities should be up. Unfortunately, the people that this rhetoric applies to is definitely in the minority these days.
