oh yeah

i've a friend who is a teacher and i avoid 'teacher indoctrination' at all costs, haha.

most teachers up here swing to the left and lots of the elementary aged children come home talking about politics.

My ex-husband and I walk on some in order to make sure we get along otherwise. ANd, my ex-mother-in-law is very nice, but we can't talk about anything negative EVER.

I have a couple friends that I'd rather not talk about religion with.

The same with me but my friends are obsessed with politics and anything that they disagree with they go bonkers!

I used to be that way, but nowadays I just pretty much say what comes to mind. If they are really my friend, then they need to appreciate my thoughts and convictions also. I do not make a point to "attack" or make out as if they are wrong, but they need to respect my views also, as I would and do respect theirs.

I don't walk on eggshells persay but I will not discuss some topics with some of my friends. I love a great debate among friends, there are some that take it personal so therefore I choose not to engage.

People I have to walk on eggshells around are few and far between in my life. I choose my companions carefully.

I tend to avoid putting together people who would have dramaticlly oppositional ideas. I know how most people are going to react to most issues and I just don't care to turn discussions into confrontations so I just find pleasant things to talk about and steer conversations away from touchy subjects.

LOL I tend to do my debateing on line or in my writing. It is not I don't like differing opinions but in most cases I can just agree to disagree if I think a person's values are different than my own.

Someone who can present persuasive reasoning on a subject I find intrigueing.
