Lets say looks and brains are rated on a scale of 1-100 each. The easy question. How many points of physical looks would you trade for points of brains if you could. Would you trade brain points for looks instead? Now the harder question. Which sex do you think would do the most trading of looks for brains? My answers-----I would give up 10 points of looks for brains and maybe 20. At least until I get through college and then I would want my looks back. 
I think women would do less trading of looks for brains. I say this not because I think women are shallow but because men are. Women know men are more into how a woman looks then (or is it than) how smart she is. But if she's TRULY smart then she doesn't give a rat's ass what the guy thinks or that he's into looks more. She rocks on with her bad self

This is a great topic question for a change. Too bad its turned into 'see who can be funniest.' I had no choice. Only a few people answered at first and the thread run to page two and I had to use humor to bring it back. TY for saying I wrote a great topic. |

Heck I figure I have about a 50/50 chance the way it is and will stick with that since I'm on the 50 yard line heck that percent is too close reminding one of football someone is bound to notice me sooner or later.  
I thought everyone was going to say the politically correct thing and always trade looks for brains. guess not. This mingle crowd isnt about PC ness. Hummm nope we are more about REALITY life is what it is in this day and time it helps to have a little of both to get buy in this world.

So far no one is willing to give up some physical appearance in exxhange for more brain power? Except me? Guess I am the only one that wants more intelligence Yeah, but you wanted your looks back after college, so you defaulted

because after college I would have the new knowledge and I would be older. I would need the looks back in order to attract guys. Guys say they like smart women but my looks have always gotten the guys attention more than any brain power I might have. |

why sacrifice anything? take me the way I am or don't come around asking....I have a brain that functions well enough to get me through often with humor and a raised eyebrow or two....as for looks you like it or you don't

Youre really pretty so would you trade all your beauty to be a scientist that cures diseases or builds rocket ships? Would a lonely scientist trade some of his brains to get more women? |

I wouldn't trade any. I need someone with an IQ of around 160. Maybe 155 if she likes doing laundry and can discuss Hannes Alfven's Plasma Cosmology theories intellectually. But as far as dating sites are concerned, having brains is tantamount to having leprosy. Dude. I'd be happy with someone around 125. At least she'd be likely to either be able to keep up with the way I think....or at least be able to accept it. |
