CONSIDER THIS...

In 1929 the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953,
approximately 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were
rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915-1917, 1.5 million
Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, 13
million Jews, gypsies, homosexuals, the mentally ill, and others, who
were unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million
political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000
Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000
Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million
"educated" people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
exterminated.

That places total victims who lost their lives because of gun control at
approximately 56 million in the last century. Since we should learn from
the mistakes of history, the next time someone talks in favor of gun
control, find out which group of citizens they wish to have
exterminated.

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced to
surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed, a program costing
the government more than $500 million dollars. The results
Australia-wide; Homicides are up 3.2%, Assaults are up 8 %, and Armed
robberies are up 44%.

In Australias state of Victoria, homicides with firearms are up 300%!
Over the previous 25 years, figures show a steady decrease in armed
robberies and Australian politicians are on the spot and at a loss to
explain how no improvement in "safety" has been observed after such
monumental effort and expense was successfully expended in "ridding
society of guns."

It's time to state it plainly; Guns in the hands of honest citizens save
lives, protect children and property and, yes, gun-control laws only
affect the law-abiding citizens.

(Thanks Paul Harvey!)

Still not your words, but very good words they are...

Damn do gooders!!!

You should live here man, when they ( the feds) came here looking for
Eric Rudolph, they received no cooperation from the locals, and even
when they sent that SF guy and his team, it took them 5 yrs to find him.
Had he not been stupid (dumpster diving) he'd still be free..

If they want my guns they will have to pry them from my cold dead hands.
If they can, they did train me, so it wont be easy, and I have a lot of
gun loving, like minded friends.
most of them are vetreans, and 90% are good ole montain boy's...

Three things I notice...

Vetreans are more likely to defend the constitution and its laws than
the average American....

The right for women to vote coincides with the gun laws..

The right for women to vote coincides with the laws for homosexual
rights.......

LOL, I know Im going to catch **** on this one.......LMAO

well fanta

as far as the coinsidance of gun laws with womans voter rights
i feel is a coincidense that comes from the

emergance of mass communication (radio back then)

as far as momosexual rights
they should have thesame rights as others

to opress their rights because they are homosexual

will lead to the opression of other rights as well

failure to protect the rights of those you disagree with
is to eventually opress the rights of ones self

I think people who never owned a gun before should have to take a
handlers class before they get it. Its a deadly weapon and only those
who know how to use it should have it, like the Martial Arts.

I also think there needs to be stricter laws to keep stupid people from
getting guns, like drunk hunters (a common problem in Kentucky).

if you put a test on ownership

what is to stop overbearing questions

and if one drinks should that keep them from owning

because they may use it when they been drinking

If they are caught drinking and hunting, than they should get their guns
taken away for 30 days or something. Its so bad out here that if I see
a deer I duck for cover lol

gun controll hitting prarie dogs at 800 yards. the answer isnt more
laws, theres already 20,000 unconstitutional gun laws on the books. if i
would have been in that school, i would have pulled out a 380 auto and
at least i would have had a chance to protect myself and others. Gun
control laws are a government guarantee to the criminals that the good
guys are unarmed. common sense tells us that criminals dont follow laws.
if someone wants a gun they can get one whether or not they are wuilling
to follow the law,.

I have been in a simular situation.

It is amazing how docile an aggressive punk with a gun becomes when he
has a knife at his throat.

Chilled him right out.

i have disarmed two armed people. ended up with thier Guns also. some
people panic under pressure, others go into action. why does society
want to diarm someone with the ability to defend themselves? only your
enemy would care whether or not your packin.

well kim

if you had a 6' 250 pound woman tat works out between you and the door

who was very upset with you

and was coming at you with a knife

and you also had a knife

how much of a chance would you have of defending yourself

i bet if the person sitting in the corner watching shot your attacker as
she was about to thrust her knife in you it may change your mind a
little

If a woman was coming at me with a knife, I'd shout at the top of my
