The sad thing about that question is that some, or many people, find the question entirely different than the question of "If your child is drinking alcohol."

I know a lot of people use grow lights, some have raised it outside in yards if they have real tall fences. Around here, in some of the more rural areas, they raise it out in the woods and hope no one stumbles across it during hunting seasons, or if they decide to log the area, etc. I don't like it, so am no help to you Duffy, sorry.
And, Thug, I agree. A substance is a substance, alcohol or drugs. I don't think kids should be using either, including cigarettes. But I appear to be in the minority in this thread. My daughter has an addictive personality and got really messed up for years by alcohol and played around with pot. She is still on cigarettes. It worries me that in her early 20s the doctors told her she had signs of early EMPHYSEMA on a chest x-ray --- AND SHE IS STILL SMOKING!!!!! and is 34 now. She has 2 little kids and I was hoping she would quit to save her lungs. Her dad drank himself to death at 45 years old, literally. Only so much a mom can do though. |

thug...I agree with you (an no..not trying to argue lol) IMO...the substance doesn't matter when it comes to kids. they should be allowed any. when someone becomes an adult and can take the consequences of the actions (whether PI...DUI...illegal drugs)...then that is up to them to do IMO. they will get the consequences of their actions.
but children??? NOPE!!!!!!! not only is it illegal for kids to have alcohol, cigarettes or drugs...it's not good for them...and the parents could be charged as well |

I was reading a good article the other day. I'd refer to it but I cant remember where it was
but the point of the article was that marijuana was made illegal in the 20's at the demand of the southwestern states (California, Arizona, Texas, etc) as a tool to control the Mexican (legal and illegal) immigrant population. At that time very few people outside the Mexican community was actually smoking it I'll see if I can find that article again |

It has been settled, there is not a lot of people in this thread that want kids smoking pot...I am one of them, I'm also a rarity in that I started smoking pot at the legal age to purchase tobacco products (well, sort of, I lived in Utah). The fact is that once the age gap changes and the child is out of your hands...personally...I would rather see them stoned then drunk, doped up, or twacked out. If I had a kid that was grown enough to make their own choices and fess up to the responsibility of those decisions (on their own, not in my house), then have at it. It is out of my hands, I just hope they choose the road of responsibility and watch their decision making while under the influence of anything...regardless of what it is, do not affect other's with your choice.

If they don't want to quit no amount of rehab will get them to quit...they have to want to quit, after that it is easy and rehab is not really necessary if they truly want to quit. |

I would tell him that he was being ridiculous and stupid claiming that "we're in recession! How can you afford a splif now?!" and then offer to teach him how to make cheaper opium with poppy heads
