...people fall in love too quickly?

For me, it's never-ending. Every single day there may be one reason, or a thousand tiny reasons that keep you falling in love over and over again.

Wow! I've never seen folks so jaded.

Even after the many disappointmemnts I've had, I still think it's one of the greatest experiences.

I think it's LUST not actual love...

I thinks someitmes it is lust. Sometimes I just think folks want it so badly they get their signals crossed. And..I think there are folks who just do not have a clue about what it is to truly fall in love with someone.

I guess some people do...

I've the opposite problem, I don't fall in love with the people I date, even when they've expressed how the feel about me. It makes me want to run for the hills...

Hmmm... wonder why? whoa (she says sarcasticly) scared

Yes, I do,my grandfather along time ago sat me down when I had my first puppy love and told me all I had was abad case of lust (he had to explain that also.)

I have taken his advice to heart. I don't believe true love happens quickly I believe it takes time to grow and it needs to be nurtured and allowed to put deep roots. If not it is a shallow plant and as soon as a hard wind comes along it will wither and die.
I myself will only let love grow very slowly in this garden.

I think you hit the nail on the head with that one.

I don't fall in love too quickly, but I tend not to cut them loose far past the time that's right. In other words, I realize someone is not for me, but due to stubborness, a dream of what "could be" (falling for someone's potential, not what they are today), misguided loyalty, a sense of commitment to the relationship (because oftentimes, the person isn't emotionally available), egotism (that with enough love, understanding, communication, space, whathaveyou) there is hope that they can change, and unconscious/ deep seated fears that get triggered when I realize I need to end a relationship for my own good....I find it difficult to do the right thing until it causes me so much pain and suffering I cannot tolerate it anymore. Then, I usually get upset with myself for having waited so long. It is a vicious cycle.

Some do, some don't. I usually have my doubts about people that say that they are in love with someone that they've known just a few days but it's not unheard, hell it happened to me once.

i think people fool them selfs into false pretenses by saying there in love, when its too hard for them to come to terms knowing that there partner isn't in love with her as much as she is in love with him. and as a result the relationship falls apart.

I think that people like to throw the word love around too much.

I suspect it's neediness...and greediness...and nothing to do with love.
