Topic: Is God a Product of Evolution or Creation

if God supposedly did not have a creator then wouldn't this be an indication that he is a product of evolution under the theory of spontaneous generation ..

if God is not a product of evolution then wouldn't this mean that he is a product of Creation and therefore created by another or from something

if God is a product of neither Evolution nor Creation and existed eternal then wouldn't this mean that before God could exist eternal that eternal had to have existed before God

but no matter how one try to spin it ....it seems to still come to the same conclusion.. that there had to be existence before God in order for God to exist in

I look at it this way -- Tarzan could not exist without the jungle. There really ARE jungles. Tarzan is a fictional character whose creator placed him in a jungle for purposes of the story.

Therefore, it is possible to create a fictional character who "lives" in a real place.

Writers often refer to this as "historical fiction."

Now that is very interesting funches. That there was existence before God came into the role.

So that existence whatever that maybe could have created God?

What is your presumption of what that existence was before God?

Under your list of "if's" is presumed that there has always been this idea of "Time".

Why does this have to be accepted as a viable premise before one is asked to make their choice?

What if "Time" had a beginning?

I have asked the question many times, if God created us then where did god come from. Only one answer came that god always existed.

A convenient answer but not good enough for me, unfortunately.

"polaritybear" ...once upon a time they would have burned you at the stake for asking them

which is why beliefs should always be questioned and debated...to possibly discourage the temptation to bring back those good olde days of roasting chestnuts on an open fire

I completely agree. I question everything and never stop thinking.

An error made on your own is safer than ten truths accepted on faith.

"LexFonteyne" ..in a religious senerio pertaining to God it's supposely the jungle that is a thought or fictional until Tarzan or the writer choose to turn it into reality ...

but until that takes place Tarzan still had to exist someplace even if it was in limbo or in the writer's mind

"smiles" a vast amount of things could have existed before God's existence or before God entered consciousness ..

"Eljay" ...Time has no beginning because it has no existence it is simply a way for something conscious to measure a given reality

what does it matter if GOD created us why cann't we just be thankful for life

God is a man-made concept, therefore without humans, there would be no god. Without biological evolution, there would be no peoples. You need peoples in order to have a need for a god and you need peoples to create god.

Your mother "created" you. You should send her a card or something. If shes not alive, you can still say thank you mom.

Of course its my opinion that god is man-made. Its a highly likely opinion if I should say so myself.

i happen to believe that GOD made man

Well so far, my opinion still has more credible evidence to sup[port its validity. Yours is based on a "hunch."

and yes i thank my mother all the time she taught me right from wrong with GOD'S word

I said thank her for CREATING you.

"deke"...to believe is not the same as to know ..you could also believe that the teletubbies made man ..

to believe requires no proof ..to know does
