I had a stalker once.... she finally just left me alone but it took months. I introduced her to someone I didn't like (I would never do that to a friend)... luckily he turned out to be the next object of her affection

If you really have a stalker... it is really best to let as many people know as possible... including where you work, police, neighbors etc. The more eyes watching out the less chance they have of feeling they can do anything. Of course having your own little friend (pistol) is ok also if it gets to that point... better them then you...
