It doesn't just happen online either.... get this one:


I had new carpet installed in the place I rented and the lead installer was flirting with me the entire time. He asked me out and I gave told him to call me since he already had my number, etc. on the install papers.

He called a couple days later and we chatted by phone a few more times. Eventually, we made arrangements for him to stay for a weekend - no promises or expectations.

Long story short, I offered my couch to him and he preferred to sleep out in his service van. First red flag.

Well, our local police were patrolling the area and caught him trying to come into the house during the night. They stopped him and escorted him out of town.

When I awoke the next morning, his van was gone and I had no idea what happened. He eventually called and I told him I didn't want to see him again.

During the time we were talking on the phone, a woman called to set up an appointment with me for some sort of demonstration... I can't remember what for now, but she was supposed to come and do the presentation.

She never showed for the presentation, but called and eventually asked how I knew him... I was confused... eventually she told me she was his fiance' and she had found my number in his cell phone. I told her I had no idea he was engaged, that he said he was recently split from a relationship, etc. and nothing happened between us.

When all was said and done, I was a little stunned. That's some scary stuff... who knows what she could have been capable of. I've been lied to by so many men, it's amazing I still believe anything a man tells me.

Just be warned, Ladies... it happens online and offline.
