People tell me that, but for some reason, I have a really hard time
letting go of what he did. Wish I could take a baseball bat to him
instead, maybe even the score a little, but no such luck. Nah, I am not
a violent person, just all those years of being on the receiving end of
his hate and anger. But I do know that if I want to move on in my life
I need to make this step or I will be stuck in the pain for the rest of
my life, and I have wasted way too much time there now.

You actually hit on something, getting the anger out. One method I used
to help me along the way was to get a wiffle bat (plastic) and yell at
the person and hit a pillow. If you want more noise , hit a open
newspaper. sounds nutty, but it moves stuff in the body.
ok, yes, I do a lot of self work stuff.
