I just saw that rerunning on tv and kind of thought the same thing. Even when they finally have sex, it's "making love", not the porn grunt crap shoved down our throats these days. And they loved each other even when they got ugly. No hint that he was a skirt-chasing girly mag nasty. No hint that she liked to do the neighbors. Very pure love stuff, huh?

it is the most wonderful and painful thing ever... Im pretty cynical about it all, putting oneself up for dissappointment and pain, but thats life, to live and feel, and love, not to forever be on guard....

I had that love once and it is something I will never forget, I think it makes it hard for me to date now as I will not settle in a relationship for anything less. I am not looking to replace my ex but I am looking for the same feeling two people can share. I think the thing that made it the way it was, was a solid friendship!
