My gfs, young and old, talk about this all the time. They don't understand why the guy doesn't call them back after a night of great sex when it was on the first or second date without first establishing a solid relationship. I have a rule, if we do the dirty deed too soon, fine and dandy, but there won't be a tomorrow. Don't come back looking for more. The first time was fun, exciting but the next time is just a booty call. Not going there. Some men try, but I tell them, "You knew my rule going in."

sex to soon? right ... if I meet someone that I am attracted to and think I want to know them better I just let things happen naturally.. maybe there is sex right away maybe not.. I have been in that spot plenty of times that the woman wanted sex before I did... so where is the harm? If you want to know someone as a possible long term commitment then sex is part of knowing them.. you have to know if your compatible on all levels... physical, mental, and emotional... we aren't in high school anymore.

men play the game...women know the score...lol...Mae West said it best...Sex is like playing Bridge...if you don't have a good partner...then you better have a good hand...

So it is necessary for you to have sex with a woman before you can fall in love with her? I'm not judging....just asking for clarification on your answer.

I think it all depends on the situation....

no not "necessary" but it helps.. case in point I have met a very nice lady and as relationship goes we are great together but as lovers? we are not... do I love her...no.. yet yes.. I love her for who she is and how we treat each other

and if the sex were great then I probably would love her even more... But I just can't.. sex is to much an integrial part of a good relationship.. so It would mean I would be unhappy in the long run...but I am glad I know of this before my heart let me love her totally with out reservations... all I would end up doing is hurt her then... so...is sex a neccessity... at some point yes as I said you need to be compatianle on ALL levels...

and before you ask... both her and I agree.. we are good friends now we spend time together as friends.. and no we aren't having sex with each other.....

I do and have always preferred to fall in love first.

Notice I said its been my preference. It hasn't always worked out that way.

I sort of assumed you weren't having sex with her since neither of you were enjoying it. Thank you for your honest response.

I'm not expecting any man or woman to adopt my rule. It works for me as far as sex is concerned. Now if we are talking about "love," a different story, a different timetable. All I am saying, and this is to my gfs, don't get the two mixed up.
