So, I've been fortunate enough to meet a few guys from this site that live close enough to me to meet for coffee, dinner, etc... but I haven't really felt a connection with any of them (and I'm not looking for an instant in-love happy ending) and they won't stop calling. Now, I'm not a very confrontational person, so I don't know how to politely tell them that I'm not interested. I don't want to lie and I don't want to be rude or just ignore them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Tell them that you appreciate their interest, but you are looking for someone that meets your qualities. Send them best wishes and tell them you hope they find that special someone. But right now, you are not for them. Hope it helps a little.

Honesty is always best. Tell them you didn't feel a connection with them & for you this is very important.

By not telling them they might take it as you are leading them on, so just be polite and say thank you for a nice night but I am looking for something a little different.

Well, if you met them on here, hopefully they'll read this and know. If not, just tell them - obviously you're not a rude person. Most of us guys really appreciate frankness; if one doesn't, he's probably got an issue you don't need to wait until later to find out about.

Tell them goodnight after the date, tell them you felt great, then go home. If any of them calls you, tell them you feel that you are looking for rather someone else. With a little delay, it gives the impression, that you thought this through and you made up your mind. If they continue to call anyway, it's time to stand on you heels and tell them to stop, you have already stated that you aren't interested. Trust me, some men needs their pride bent a little, and you will come off as a strong woman with firm decisions. That's actually very sexy if you ask me.. If you just nicely keep side tracking, the guys will think that you haven't made up your mind and there is hope. Don't let this go on if you really want to get rid of them.

That' was my second suggestion. (thanx alonethelonely) Tell them you're dating a guy with an expert shooter badge and 3 top gun awards.

The funny thing about that is my ex (who is still a dear friend)is a sponsored rifleman and has been proposed to several times by all military branches! He is a phenomenal shot and has quite the impressive gun collection. I'm sure he wouldn't mind fending some guys off for me!
