Invisible, you won't understand until you are saved. Salvtion comes first, and then it takes the study of Gods word, the Bible

ROMANS 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

1THESSALONIANS 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

duuude, i have this used car i'd like you to buy. however you have to commit to buying it first before you can see the condition it is in because you won't understand the value of this car until you've bought it and THEN inspect it. deal?

i'll set up the paperwork for you.

huh

funny how everything makes a whole lotta sense AFTER the brainwashing. these pesky little pre-salvation questions and critical analysis gets in the way of understanding the whole christians accusing god (if there is one) of murder thing.

How can a God that is suppose to know all, created everything and who is the Lord of all things create such unperfect being like us man and woman.

If it was judge on today standards human would have been recalled a long time ago.

And I agree why did the book of God had to be rewritten, I guess his publisher didn't like the first draft.

So why would a reportedly perfect being who is said to be both omnipotent and omniscient need two chances to get it right and why couch the whole thing in contradictory riddles needing a Priest class to unravel?

It all sounds more like imperfect humans rationalizing and equivocating to get their story straight, all to the benefit of the Priest class.

-Kerry O.

Since we are not saved we are not supposed to understand that anyway, so why bother to get saved?
To understand a bible that could be explained to us by a priest at his convenience?

I thought part of the popularity of Jesus stemmed from the fact that he congregated with the common man and woman. He met with prostitutes and criminals and alcoholics and diseased and sick. These are all of the people that the Jewish Orthodoxy forbid to enter the religious sanctuaries.

This was how Jesus achieved such notoriety folks.

So why now are you claiming that you "need to be saved" in order to decipher this stuff? You are behaving like the Orthodox Jews that Jesus was attempting to undermine.

Jesus Said,

" A NEW Commandment I Give You Now:

Love The Lord Thy God ,

With All Thy Heart,

and All Thy Mind

and All Thy Soul..."

and Secondly, Jesus Said ,

"Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself."

And when we really stop and think about it...

what Jesus said,

Covers It All....

and

Says It All.

Amen.

Its also too confusing and cryptic so just about everyone who bothers to read the bible seems to interpret it in a different manner. I think a bunch of carnival circuit employees wrote it as a joke.

Well to get back on point here, I guess this is a pretty significant thread as it is a Christian attempting to justify his reasons for excessive proselytizing. This is probably the biggest complaint that many non-believers or those of other faiths have with Christians. I find it most annoying and it seems like its probably a sin and you would be upsetting Jesus for carrying on to such extremes.

I feel as though one should keep thy religion to thy self.

Yup, circular reasoning at its finest. It's almost like that old fallacy "To those who understand, no explanation is necessary. To those who don't, none is possible."

Remembering how Kahlil Gibran described priests in "The Eye of the Prophet" always makes me chuckle a little because for a few of them, it's so apt:

"A priest is a traitor who uses Scripture as a threat to spirit away your money, a hypocrite who carries a crozier and uses it like a sword to open your veins, a wolf in sheep's clothing, a glutton who has more respect for the table than for the altar, a creature hungry for gold who follows a dinar to the most distant countries.
He is a strange being, with the beak of an eagle, the claws of a tiger, the teeth of a hyena, and the skin of a viper.
Take his Bible away from him, rend his vestments, pull out his beard and do as you wish with him. Then place dinar in his hand, and he will thank you with a smile."

Jesus Told us to go unto the world.

MARK 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

That is true.

Where does it say that you have to be saved to understand it?

In order to be saved,

you FIRST have to hear.

And understand what you hear.

The gospel message that Jesus saves,

is made simple enough, to where

even a child can understand.

So therefore, after hearing and

underanding this simple gospel message..

one STILL HAS TO HAVE FAITH in order

to BELIEVE.

Understanding the gospel message is

NOT what gets you saved.

RECIEVING the gospel message BY

FAITH, AFTER UNDERSTANDING IT....

IS what gets you SAVED..

And meaning it in your heart.

THEN the REST of God's Word Will Make

Sense...after Salvation.

There is

also much depth and richness to

God's Word, not just the simple and

easy to understand Words of

salvation.

After Salvation.... understanding

comes more and more ,as a believer grow in God's Word.

And the FULLNESS of Understanding

comes happens over Time..not

overnight either.

But again....you do not have to

COMPLETE AND TOTAL Understanding of

ALL of God's Word, in order to be

saved.

God gives you enough understanding

of God's Word to be saved.

As you hear and understand the simple

message of the gospel of Salvation,

FAITH COMES..... by HEARING ...

and that "Hearing" Comes by the

Hearing OF

The WORD OF GOD!!!.

FAITH Rises up in the SPIRIT, not in

the INTELLECT.

Hope this helps now.

Merry Christmas Now,To ALL You Precious People Here !!!

Once a person is

truly saved, he now has the Holy

Spirit indwelling him ,to help him

dicipher God's Word.

But you still have to remember...a

new born babe in Christ....or a

toddler in God's Word, isn't going

to be able to "digest" parts of

God's Word ,like a more grown

up christian might be able to digest

the Word.

Different levels of understanding is

revealed ,as one grows up in the

Faith....more and more..That is why

the Word of God is NEVER

BORING....cause the more we Grow in

the Word of God... the more we

understand....and the more we

understand, the More we Grow!!!

But sometimes you are gonna run

into the ones who are still babes in

Christ, trying to tell us

the "meaning" of God's Word,and

are missing it by a mile....

cause they are still seeing the Word

from their baby perspective

only....but as they grow more and

more, the Word of God becomes

clearer...more and more.

And grow they will...as we all do

Who are in Christ Jesus now.

God doesn't leave any of us just

babes.

But until christians are all "growed

up"laugh , you are gonna hear

all different kinds of

"interpretations" of God's Word out

there ...

and THAT is Why it is important

to keep our eyes fixed

on God..and ask the Holy Spirit in

us lead us....and study for

ourselves.

However..I will also say this :

A spirit filled

christian is able to recognize the

Shepherd's Voice....and will

therefore be able to recognize when

he is hearing the Holy Spirit

speak thru a preacher or teacher

or anyone else......no matter what

his spiritual age is yet...or no

mattter what level he is at, in his

spirtual growth.....he still is

able to recognize the Shepherd's

Voice (Holy Spirit) speaking thru

someone ....versus, the voice of a

stranger.flowerforyou

God says," My sheep hear my voice ,

and the voice of a stranger they

will not follow".

Be Blessed Now, Everyone!!

Heyyyyy.....

IT'S

CHRISTMAS

DAY!!!laugh:heart:flowerforyoudrinker <----hot apple cider....yumbigsmile

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!

Oh I dunno, it took some pretty long to get wise to Jim and Tammy Bakker. And it's not like anyone can't name a few televangelists who preside over empires of materialism carrying the banner of Jesus out in front of the marches of their enterprises. Doesn't one of them even say "God WANTS you to be rich!", even as the Bible says it will be easier for camel to pass thru the eye of the needle than for the rich to get into paradise?

Jesus Christ came down to Earth to die on the cross and be buried and rise from the dead three days latter to take the punishment for our sins.

It is simple, Believe that Christ died for you and me, And ask Christ to Save you.

ROMANS 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

JOHN 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
