For myself and many others that have that feeling of a meaningless life, I do believe it is just that we have not found our meaning yet. Be it you're 20 or 40 or 60 or 80, there is always some time to find purpose. Instead of dwelling over it, wondering if it will ever find you, try to find your own purpose. Course it's always easier said than done, as I am experiencing. For the now I've found my purpose to support my mom in her hard times, and try to be a decent person.

I think my purpose here was best defined after my son was born. He sure put new meaning and definition into my life. Trying to raise him, despite all the struggles he is going to face in life. I am here to be his voice, and to make sure his doctors, nurses, therapists, teachers provide the service they are expected to provide him.

I will always believe that I have a purpose and my life has meaning...I do not ask about what it is anymore, nor do I ask why things are the way they are most of the time...I tend to think there is a time and purpose for everything... as the song says... To everything (turn, turn, turn) There is a season (turn, turn, turn) And a time for every purpose, under heaven A time to be born, a time to die A time to plant, a time to reap A time to kill, a time to heal A time to laugh, a time to weep To everything (turn, turn, turn) There is a season (turn, turn, turn) And a time for every purpose, under heaven A time to build up,a time to break down A time to dance, a time to mourn A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together To everything (turn, turn, turn) There is a season (turn, turn, turn) And a time for every purpose, under heaven A time of love, a time of hate A time of war, a time of peace A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing To everything (turn, turn, turn) There is a season (turn, turn, turn) And a time for every purpose, under heaven A time to gain, a time to lose A time to rend, a time to sew A time to love, a time to hate A time for peace, I swear its not too late |

this is another one that I like about meaning and purpose: "A Reason A Season and A Lifetime"© by Brain A. "Drew" Chalker. People always come into you life for a reason, a season and a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, or to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or even spiritually. They may seem like a Godsend to you, and they are. They are there for a reason, you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die, Sometimes they just walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on. When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season. And like Spring turns to Summer and Summer to Fall, the season eventually ends. Lifetime, relationships teach you a lifetime of lessons; those things you must build upon in order to have a slid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway); and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas in your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant. Thank you for being part of my life.... Perhaps this is something we also should say to our own selves once in awhile... |

I don't think so, but that doesn't mean my life doesn't have meaning and purpose!

Living expressions of a Living Creator,
a manifistation, demonstration, of a Divine Idea. I am not this body I am not this mind I am Spirit, ageless and eternal. Yeah, that about sums it up. |
