I think it would depend on the context of them talking about their ex, how long ago the seperation was, if they have dated since their ex, how long they were together, what the ex did to them, etc.

I am going to get slammed here, oh well.

It depends on a couple of things, How the sig. other is talking about the ex. Are they bad mouthing the ex or are they comparing you to the ex? Then yes, it is a bad thing. And 2, do they have kids together. The sig. other is going to be talking about the ex a lot then. That is ok and to be expected.

i wouls have to agree with squank.however there are moments where the ones who talk to much about exs are actually still intamate with them.the best way to know if its a red flag is if there blowing off time with you to give there ex time, like time on phone and they say be quiet for a minute,or cancel plans because there ex needs them.just look at the obviuos and youll see the truth

it means they are not over them yet; still mourning them; or giving you the message that you will never compare to them in their mind and heart.

I'd be more worried if they had one of these red flags:

Yes, I DO consider this to be a red flag.....I mean, maybe bringing the ex up a couple times is not such a bad thing, but if it's constantly, then, that's a deal breaker. If you're going to date again, use the Boy Scout oath and Be Prepared!
