That would not be my intention, but I will strike back when people continue to tell me that I'm utterly and completely wrong in my beliefs, (and most of them don't even not about my beliefs, one even accused me of being a Christian ), or when they tell me that I need saving, and start to throw verses of the bible at me, only to tell me that I won't understand them when I'm not saved.
And then there are the name callers, but I shall stop here.

don't get all huffy krimsa, gee you get defensive too easy at times. It is what it is in here, you've seen it on both sides, i'm sure. I'll say it again, what some of us call debate wether heated or not, others call bashing, its a word, it doesn't hurt. A christian doesn't have to try to shove anything down anyones throat as we a accused of doing so often, One only has to let it be know that the believe In God, Christ, The Bible and you know good and well they are called all kinds of things for this belief. Sharing a belief on here is no way shoving anything down anyones throat. But many, yes, you too, like to say the God we believe in is this, that or the other, . The term "if the shoe fits" was meant for us all, not directed at just you.

I speak my mind as well krimsa, we all do, and we all are in here reading posts. I can say someone ridicules or bashes as well, I don't have to prove anything, everything we all say is here somewhere. Like I said, the comment was for all of us, not just you. Everything is not always directed at you you know, you said yourself, things are taken out of context and meaning a lot of times just because of the medium we are in.

I don't think many do it with that intention, the typed word is not the best way to talk.Krim takes things too personal at times, I've probably been guilty as well. I enjoy listening to her even though we seldom agree, we actually do see things eye to eye at times. She presents her side with intelligence and does her homework, she just gets to sensitive and takes things the wrong way sometimes, at least it seems that way. Just because someone says he is a christian means nothing, if there is no evidence.

He might have been religious....or just acted that way to win the people...

but either way, he used and twisted scripture for his gain, to win the masses....

Any one of you that accuses someone of this so called "Christian bashing" will face me down. I promise you that. If you can clearly make that statment stick then you better do it.

I don't blame you, I don't agree with some of those methods myself. I try to use verses to document my beliefs, not trying to throw them at someone and say they have to believe either. Don't let someone saying you will not understand the bible phase you, it is for all, no one is exclusive in their knowledge over someone else, some read and study more, some are better at it than others. Some Christians tell me I'm not a Christian all the time
Some are so founded in the teachings of men that they don't know how to study for themselves.

This is the way that I look at it.

One can be a Catholic and be a murderer. One can be an Atheist and be a murderer. One can be a Muslim and be a murderer. One can be Agnostic and be a murderer. One could be Jewish and be a murderer.

A murderer is a murderer is a murderer. It does not reflect on the religion or lack of religious beliefs.

You're making a mountain out of a molehill Krimsa, and since you asked, you like to "poke fun" as do I, You have said before that Christians believe in a mythology and the Bible can't be true and God is this and that, male chauvanitst I believe, puts down women and many things that go against what a Christian believes. Is that not similar to the ones you and others complain of trying to save them and forcing it down their throats. In a sense, to me it is bashing to an extent. Does it bother me, not really, It does seem to have your hackles up this morning though. peace, not trying to argue, just stating the way i see it.

Just goes to show you, No one is perfect and without sin. Not one of us, Not Christian, non Christians, anyone. We all fall short, Hitler included.

It was a stupid comment made by someone who failed to think through the ramifications before making the statement on another thread. End of story. I do not hold all the Christians on forum accountable for that one individual. Lets move on.

I don't think we are expected to be "perfect." (I don't think Jesus, if he even existed as a real person, was perfect.)

But "sin" is a word owned and used by the Church and religions. It implies that the basis of "sin" is to reject or disobey a certain group's idea of God. (Christians mostly)

If you are not a slave of religious dogma and if you don't follow that idea of "sin" and that concept of "God" then the word "sin" has no meaning for you.

The only person who can think of me as a sinner is one who follows and believes that doctrine. If I am not part of that group, I am not really concerned with what they think or whether they call me "sinner" or "heathen" or "pagan" or anything else. That is their labeling system, not mine.

This is a "free will zone." We are allowed to make mistakes. Mistakes is how a person learns. If you never made any mistakes, you would never learn anything.

So if you want to believe that everyone is a "sinner" and that no one is "perfect" that's okay with me. I don't think about things like that. That has no baring on my life or how I live it.
