Had this very subject lately close at home. We finally decided on the "ungirlfriend" name because I was so freaked out by the word. I'm over it now....hehe. It had to do with just being afraid of being hurt again and so forth. I do think they are correct in that if you decide to commit to each other and nobody else, then you are indeed gf and bf. It was just so odd to me to be using those terms after being married for 12 years. I was saying "the guy I'm dating" and he was saying "my girlfriend". I guess it really doesn't matter as long as you both understand what the terms of the relationship are eh? |
