Topic: A Lot Can Happen In A Year

A year ago -- I was involved with the girl I have always considered the love of my life, I was happy and healthy and content, doing well financially (working, and also because of a trust fund my mother had left me), finishing up my second book, enjoying my creativity and everything life had to offer. Today -- I'm alone, very ill (ulcer), have nowhere to go, the trust fund has been tampered with, my car is out of commission, my computer doesn't work, my friends have abandoned me, and the options, whatever they may have been at one time, have dwindled down to virtually nothing. A lot can happen in a year. Enjoy the good times while they last.

A lot can happen in a year, sorry it's been so hard for you, but find a positive focus as negativity only weighs one down. Good luck

Lex, such is this roller coaster ride called life. Here's to blessings in the new year and only the smoothe part of the ride for quite some time for you!!! It is true that bad things happen to good people, and at first it is hard to suck it up, but that's just the way it has to be at times.

Lex I hope things get better for you, life can be tough at times but you have to maintain a positive outlook & things will eventually get better

Try to look at the positives in your life. Life is full of trials and tribulations. Usually because we need to go through something to SEE reality. Maybe this "person" was not the one for you and you didn't SEE it. I believe in God and I believe that things happen for reasons we don't always SEE right away. Lex, you are one of the most creative people on here. Your posts are always insightful and honest. You have a great heart and I enjoy our interactions on post. You have not lost ALL your friends, the people who know you will always respect you and be your friend. I will always consider you a friend.

A lot can happen in a year. Enjoy the good times while they last. Sounds like you've had a rough time. But 2009 is almost here and that is your chance to make a fresh start. From what I've seen in the forums, seems to me you have some amazing friends here and they cherish your friendship alot.
