Topic: To Bring A Gift... | |
---|---|
I have a date Saturday with a lady who contacted me on this site. I chose the place and am making the drive and will pay for coffee or a nice dinner depending on what we decide.
Should I bring a gift and if so what type? Chocolate? A book? Flowers? Roses? |

Ummmm.... I say no gift.
Keep it simple, a meet and greet. |

On a recent first date, I was given a poetry book by a poet that we had discussed. It was such a nice surprise. I liked it better than flowers or candy. Since the date went well, having the book is just a nice reminder of a lovely evening. It lays next to me in bed. I vote for a book of poetry.

What are the dating flowers? I'd hate to show up with flowers typically bought for funerals lol. |

I vote for a book of poetry. Sweet but I dont know what kind of reading she likes as yet. |

I always feel weird when someone I'm meeting for the first time brings a gift. Even if it is flowers. It seems more appropriate when I know the person a little better.

Should I bring a gift and if so what type? Chocolate? A book? Flowers? Roses? and if it goes badly....well she will have something other than your feelings to stomp on. |

A nice big bouquet of multi colored carnations. They smell amazing and last for awhile.

If you feel like it's the right thing to do...a small bouquet of something cheerful is nice. But nothing is okay too...depends on how much communcation you've really had, I suppose. Does it FEEL like a flowers kind of meeting?

Condoms wrapped in a 50 dollars bill? No wait- scratch that. I got a good one- a xmas ornament! Unless of course she's jewish in which you can give her candles for her candleabra. Faberge' christmas egg ornament. Inexpensive and sweet gesture.
