I have a date Saturday with a lady who contacted me on this site. I chose the place and am making the drive and will pay for coffee or a nice dinner depending on what we decide. Should I bring a gift and if so what type? Chocolate? A book? Flowers? Roses? I think it's really sweet when a guy brings a gift on the date.. Does a little something special the other guys dont..

No gifts. There will be plenty of time to give gifts later if you hit it off. Pay for dinner if she lets you. Then hope for a second date if you both hit it off...Good luck!

There's got to be something there if they are going on a date and have been chatting for a while. I was more in the frame of mind of a first date first...like in the old days before the internet.
