How to Do a Wheelie in a Car

Wheelie Bar on MustangNotice those tiny wheels attached to bars on the back of drag racing car? That's so the extreme torque generated won't cause the vehicle to "pop a wheelie". This is when the front tires come off the ground due to the back tires trying to accelerate faster than the rest of the vehicle. Wheelies can only be done in Rear Wheel Drive vehicles. You can do Reverse Wheelies in Front Wheel Drive Vehicles.

Camaro Doing a WheelieGet a manual car with at least 250 Horsepower. This might not be enough to get a huge wheelie but it will release the weight off the front suspension. For a good Wheelie it's recommended to have 400hp+.
Get some tires that have a lot of traction or do a burnout first to heat up the tires to gain more traction.
Go somewhere away from traffic, private property is a great place to do it.
Watch for cops, if on public road. Doing a wheelie is considered reckless driving and you can get a ticket or go to jail for it.
Once clear prepare yourself!
Do a burnout to gain more traction.
Release your burnout and then line your car straight with the road.
Push the Clutch Pedal to the floor.
Put the Shifter in first gear.
Rev the engine to 1000-2000RPMs below the Redline, being careful not to hold high rims too long or damage your engine.
Quickly release the clutch.

Congrats! If you had all the requirements then you should have just done a Wheelie!
In Automatic Transmission
Get an automatic car with at least 650hp+. It requires that much power because you can't rev the engine for RPM torque like in a manual car.
Get tires with lots of traction.

Give the car as much gas as possible without doing a burnout.
Simultaneously release the brake and FLOOR IT!
If you had all the requirements then you should have just done a wheelie!

Don't do wheelies very often.
The more Horsepower the easier it will be and the bigger the wheelie!
Do Wheelies on a drag racing track, it's legal there.
Have a car with lots of torque!
Have a RWD car
Be a ricer or a red neck, its helps allot, especially when you tell your friends at school you did a wheelie in your moms minivan...
