Growing up I knew I had some kind of a deep rooted connection with my grandmother.

I didn't know what that connection was until months after her death when I was chosen to go through what was left of her life.

Behind the door of a closet in her bedroom, never opened since I could ever remember, was an old wooden chest filled with her memories and so much more.

Discovering the same passions within myself that I read from her journals made me realize just what that connection was.
The seduction and sexual desires that poured onto the pages of this woman's journal pages was more than I was initially ready for.

The man that made this all possible was at first only known to me as her captivating and very provocative lover, Robert.

Through letters written to her, Robert had opened up her seductive side and this was where her creativity poured out into stories that no one ever read until now.

Here, through this man, even years later did I discover this same creativity and I would be damned if anyone would keep it between pages in a journal, including my pessimistic husband.

I had to show him how wonderful this connection was and how amazing each story felt.

He'd be sure to say yes to my dreams of becoming an author.
If THAT didn't convince him, perhaps the secret that I discover in that old wooden chest, about who her lover really was would.

no, gypsy, it's not a true story. it's based on feelings i had with my grandmother but i took it to a whole other level. the closet is real. i still have yet to see the other side of that door.
