If you fell in love with someone who was allergic to your pet(s), would you get rid of your pet(s)?

Honestly, it probably wouldn't go so far after the first date and the sneezes constantly. My dog is literally attached to anything with my scent on it which pretty much means I am a walking hairball.

I don't know if I could part with fatboy... but I would consider getting rid of them.. but I'd find the best home I could.. actually I am slightly allergic to my cats myself.. or put the furballs down.. they dont have souls anyway...

I love my animals, but if he was the "one" and truly had an allergy problem........ I would give them to someone that I trust to take good care of them. If no one would take them.... Free cats to a loving home. Must stay together. I have always had pets, but I'd never put them above people, especially the love of my life! Now if he just didn't like animals....that is a completely different story. My ex was a dog man and said he couldn't stand cats. He made an exception with my cat. He ended up lovin' that cat as much as I did!

It depends on how allergic, and if meds could help or not, and maybe their attitude about the situation. If he was what I deserve because he treated me right then yes I would find a good home for my pet. Pets can't hold you like a man can!

Every single one of them regretted it and said they wished they had keep the pet and gotten rid of the other person. I think that in the end, it kinda speaks for itself. Anyone that would ask you to get rid of a beloved pet for their sake is really just trying to find out if they can control you.
