Congratulations!!!

Glad it worked out - as it has been said before, once released and offered to be rehired with same company - they do in fact, advice the unemployment offices of the decision not to accept job offer making it difficult to collect unemployment benefits.

Kudos to you!!!!

Yep, that was my fear, her telling unemployment that I didn't accept her offer. I started out by saying that I had last night to think over her offer and that there was no way I could do it. She asked what I needed and I told her. The company is having alot of financial troubles, but she is starting to realize that without an admin staff to support her sales people that she really has no hope of turning things around. She is also finally seeing that its her salesguys, not her office staff that is the trouble. If they don't sell anything, then she needs to address that with them.

everyone is going to have to do more than their share in order to prevent companies from going under and maintaining a bit of security at their present jobs. No more taking it for granted with the economy the way it is

Very true, and since I have the full capacity to work at home, which I do now 3 days a week, she said that I'd need to put in some extra hours right now. I have no problem with that, I have full access to our database and network from home. I work nights and weekends if she needs it, I know for now that she can't pay the extra, but I can swing it for now at my regular salary. I also reminded her that we agreed I'd move closer to work when my lease is up on my house here, which is in July 09.

Well glad to hear it all worked out for you for if you had not worked it out and in fact did not go back. Your unemployment would have been down the drain most likely I do work in a office and have dealt with unemployment when employees are laid off or fired and have actually beat cases where some tried to apply and did not deserve to get it due to their own actions.

But with your case the way unemployment looks at it is you were offered your job back then you refused it therefore makes the company look good for they do not look at the pay cut part of it just that you had a chance to take the job back.

Good luck and be happy that you are one of the employees the company felt like is and asset to them or they would not have met your demands.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!bigsmile

also consider company perks - req return of your expense report - they get write off but they may limit the amount you can charge -- win/win situation

I know the company perks can't happen right now. She said 3-6 months before that can happen. I am just grateful that I am back at my regular salary like I was before.

I hate employment scams. This was a total setup. Kill your boss. This crap is happening everywhere to cut costs. Move on.

I'm the senior man at my job. 16 and a half years and the crap the management pulls is sickening.

I know what you are saying. But the job market sucks, and I am not one to just jump jobs or make quick decisions.
