Topic: 4 Craziest Right Wing Fears About Obama | |
---|---|
I recently delved into the wretched hive of paranoia and bitterness that is post-election Right Wing forums. Apparently, all that liberal rhetoric about how we’re going to rebuild this country still applies, it’s just that now they’ll be doing it much more literally than initially thought. That’s because time and again, the folks in these forums insist that the nation will be burned to the god damned ground before they see Liberal elitists like Obama change a single hair on America’s sexy, but sensibly-styled head...

Hey fear is a tried and true method of controlling a population.
From our own recent history. "Our government has kept us in a perpetual state of fear - kept us in a continuous stampede of patriotic fervour - with the cry of grave national emergency. Always, there has been some terrible evil at home, or some monstrous foreign power that was going to gobble us up if we did not blindly rally behind it." Quote by: General Douglas MacArthur (1880-1964) WWII Supreme Allied Commander of the Southwest Pacific, Supreme United Nations Commander |

As i have said time and time again... Right wingers are not to blame. The left is at least, if not more brainwashed. Look how many people think Obama is against the Patriot act or think that he will end our wars. People stand behind him without knowing where he stands on ANYTHING.
Remain skeptical. The man has voted to reinstate the patriot act and he praised the bailout when almost every citizen was against it. These are two pretty big issues he is against this country on. It shows where loyalties lie. Speaking of "lie" notice how he rehired Clintons old cabinet when his whole campaign was run on the prospect of "change". This doesn't even touch on the fact that he ignores our foriegn policy while he "addresses" our financial crisis, and wants to make a widely used national healthcare plan instead of going after the FDA and Pharmacuetical companies that are causing the problem. He sounds good when he speaks. But gauge his speeches with a critical thinking analysis and you will all find that he never had any ground to stand on. Face it, we were all fooled again... |

AND, YOU have the credentials to justify making this statment? Accept him into your heart like I did and it will all make sense As i said, be careful about accepting the next crooked man in office "into your heart". Support him, sure. But please try to urge him to do the right thing. Unfortunately he never stood for any sort of "change". We need an engineer that will slow down a run away train. Unfortunately we voted for one that just knows what to say, not what to do... |

Thomas Jefferson I love that quote. Honestly, this country was passed on to us by people who revolted against big government. Most left wingers, and facist right wingers are trying to undo what so many have died to achieve. If you want to know that this country originally stood for, and what it should continue to stand for, you need look no further than seeking the advice of those who built our foundation. "Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty." "I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than those attending too small a degree of it." Thomas Jefferson "When people find they can vote themselves money that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin (Can you say "redistribution of wealth"?) |

You forget that Jefferson and other founding fathers were not in favor of pure democracies fearing mob mentality and the tyranny of the majority.
