Topic: So, what video games got you into becoming a gamer? | |
---|---|
I still remember getting my Atari 2600 way back in the days, and being mesmerized by it. Funny how back then, those graphics just amazed me. That, and going to the arcade, putting in my quarter or token and playing video games. Actually, having to fight to play some games, cause the arcade was always crowded.
Anyways, so to all the gamers here, what was the video game, or games that got you into it? For me, I was hooked when I played.... Galaga Donkey Kong Pac Man But what got me hooked on the home consoles? Super Mario Bros. |

My mom got addicted to Centipede. Another game me and my dad could hardly put down was PITFALL on the 2600. Have you played Pitfall 3d No. I never got into any of the newer ones. Just the original Pitfall. RE2 also got me into the PS1. I hated that system until that game came out and I played it. Then Metal Gear Solid came out, and I was hooked. |

i started with the Atari and that was after Nintendo had already been out for a few years.my uncle picked one up at a yard sale and i found my calling!.
gaming is just something that i love and it actually relaxes me in a way.i don't worry about anything going on in my personal life,i focus on what i'm doing in the game and nothing else,so i think gaming can actually have a therapeutic side to it if it's used the way i do |

I would have to say Mario Bros (super was on the SNES I think)..
but what really got me addicted was playing Oregon Trail and coming across classmate's tombstones, so shout out to Oregon Trail fans! actually, the first games I ever played were on a commodor, There was a tennis game and a karate game, but I can't say they were the reason I became a video game junkie. |

Yea, you're right. I meant the NES mario. I remember playing Oregon Trail in grade school. That was the shizz! On the PC, I started with Doom, Prince of Persia, & a game with a guy bouncing around on a pogo stick. |

I used to go to the local skating rink and play a lot of Dig Dug, Donkey Kong, Moon Patrol, and Defender. Loved Moon Patrol. I loved Bad Dudes too. And do any of you remember the football game where you rolled the ball to run, pass and all? Me and my step brother played that one alot. Track and Field was alot of fun too. Always smashing those buttons so hard and fast with your fingers. Good times. |
