It's hard to believe we had a party for her today and she is still sharp as a tack. She has witnessed the down fall of human civilization some would say, I couldn't even imagine living that long it's crazy. I have taken care of her the past few years finally had to put her in rest home. Many sleepless nights dialing 911 for her but she has a heart of gold, I have learned so many stories from her it's insane so much knowledge. I wonder with the way things are nowadays do people really want to live that long? I could only guess the pain she lives through every single day, she is big time inspiration.

WOW! That's great! The stories she must have to tell! You should tape her, tell her she is living history & people are interested in what she has to say!

Grandpa is 95. He's never moved from the farm of 130+ years until just recently he had to be moved to a home where he caught bacterial pneumonia. I think once the mobility finally goes, then it's hard on the body. The mind thinks yes to everything even though the body says no. He still plays a mean game of Sheepshead, and I still don't understand any of his jokes. lol

the bactral pnemonia can be really bad. my son had it last yr he was sick a week before xmas and a few days after xmas my mom took him to the doc and they had him admited in the hospitol. not only did he have pnemonia, but issue with his heart, lungs and only kidney. they had him in pedicatric where rushed him into icu and he went into cardica arrest they had 3 doc that had to revive him..

the bactral pneumonia was going around alot last yr, in fact a frien of mine her dad died shortly after he got it.

I did that for my grandfather. It's great.

I remember listening to my great-grandmother talking about the World's Fair.
