Hello everyone..
Yeah, I'm a newbie and I don't have a question, but more of a comment. Ok, I'll admit, more like a vent! I've been seeing this guy who professes love for me. Thing is, our relationship has not began, as in we see one another RARELY. He has things going on in his life (and yes, all legitimate by the way) and, in my opinion, does not have the time for a relationship at all. In the meantime I've been patient but have reached the point where it has worn thin due to his lack of effort. All good and fine if you have things going on, but don't say you want to have a committed relationship and then be nonexistent. I heard someone once say, "Do not make someone a priority who thinks of you as an option". I've been hanging on by a thread for 9 months!!! And with being strung along, one tends to believe 'today is going to be the day'... that never comes. Which is why I am here. It hurts and I am drained. Enough is enough! *phew* That was therapeutic! |

I am sorry you are going through this.
I went through this same type of deal and found out he was married. I guess the reason he had to keep coming up with excuses not to see me was cause his wife wouldn't let him come out and play. |

Wow!!! A lot of that seems to be going on lately!!!
"Do not make someone a priority who thinks of you as an option". I like that quote, I had never heard that before! A friend had emailed me a poem she wrote for her b/f. Check it out under poems. I hope that things get better for you. |

I heard someone once say, "Do not make someone a priority who thinks of you as an option". That's good advice, too. It's hard to know where and when to draw the line -- but there comes a point (and it's different for everybody) where the best thing to do is cut your losses and move on. I have found that the occasional vent CAN be very therapeutic! And there are lots of great people willing to listen and help, too. Don't look back, it won't help anything -- and enjoy yourself here....you'll meet some amazing people.... |

SEXYAZZKAY, I got a kick out of that quote too... so true! I'll check out the poem. And thank you. It can only get better! Best wishes to you too. |

I am sorry that you find yourself in this position. I have been there myself. I only wish I had heard that line that you quoted. I guarantee you that I will live it now that I have heard it.

I've never heard of that before. I like it. I need to make a huge poster of it to put up on my walls. I think I need that as a reminder at times. I've never thought of it in those terms before, but I've done it to many times. |

Just gotta ask....Hindu perhaps? I only ask because of the name....Got a friend in Bangalore and my woman is going on assignment in Mubai. Why yes! Let's see if this sticks, a copy and paste of 'namaste'in Sanskrit... नमस्ते Literally it means, "I bow to you". But often it is taken as "I honor the Spirit in you which is also in me" or "I honor the place in you in which the entire Universe dwells, I honor the place in you which is of Love, of Integrity, of Wisdom and of Peace. When you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, we are One." Well wishes to your woman... may she be safe. |

And yes, for brevity sake I did not elaborate. I have been supporting him for almost a year and being patient while being stood up numerous times, never spent an evening with him, and never spent more than 4 hours with him at one time. All the while the promise of ... "soon". And all the while never demanding anything from him. There comes a time when you wonder if you are being strung along and if he is serious in persuing a relationship. |
