I actually AM a " nice guy ". But, as my ex found out rather quickly, I am definitely not the type to take a bunch of crap from anyone. Her and I had some serious knockdown drag out fights, but she always knew that I wasn't going to just sit there and do nothing. I don't like fighting and arguing...but I'm not so averse to it that I'll be pushed around either. I agree.. I like a nice/good guy but NOT a pushover, that's just dumb.. I can be nice and I can be a real b*tch, it's usually up to those around me how they're treated... I'm never mean without being instigated and even then I try to stay nice... Meaning she will whoop your azz if you are mean to her.  ((((Goof)))) you got me there Hey...I love the ladies who can show some aggression...hehe! Oh wait....Damn it...I am a nice guy.   Nice doesn't mean wuss..  Romeo, I think most missed the thread clarifying bad boys from "edgy" some women like edgy men and/or nice men with a backbone but no women like pushovers unless they like pushing them around and no women like bad boys unless they like being pushed around.. Seems common sense to me but hey, I'm single what do I know...

nice guys do finish last, that has been my philosophy for the last 10 years, all these women want is the macho bad boy, but what about the hopleless romantics of the world??? Stop dating broken women, or going after the broken women... If "they" are all the same, but the common denominator is you... Who's at fault here??? |

there are millions of nice guys in successful relationships because they don't go for mean girls. the problem with most nice guys is that they want what they can't handle. it's like women who go for bad boys because they think they can change them. I have no sympathy for either. |

let me say this LOUD and CLEAR!!! yes i do beleve that the nice guys finish last!!! that is the loud. heres the clear part! in my youth (no age cracks please. my life experience puts my SOUL at about 90) i was stupid like most girls can be.. i went for the momentairy thrill.. the fast and the fun.. the danger and the adreniline excitement... then.. i grew up.. realized that the "bad boy" he was fun for a second.. but had NOTHING to hold my attention.. recent months.. i have found a "nice guy" to clarify.. he rides a harley.. he has the bad boy image.. but his soul is that of a nice guy... he treats me with dignity and respect.. not only when he needs me.. but when he doesnt have to as well.. he is the type of guy that will wake up at 5 am to call and make sure i am awake just so that he can make sure that his is the first voice i hear in the morning.. he is the nicest of all nice guys... now back to the original subject... nice guys do finish last... they are the type that i want to be the last guy that i ever kiss.. the last guy that ever holds me.. the last breath on my lips i want to have come from him.... the nice guys will finish last with me.. and last is the best place to be.... |

I'm sorry, but when a guy comes on here, whines about nice guys finishing last, it says to me that he didn't "nutt up" when he had to. Women want a nice guy, this is true. They want a guy to respect them, to love them, to stand by them, to be their partner. They need a man's strength.
What they don't need is some dude who cries at a freaking sunset cause it is just so beautiful, or whines all the freaking time about this or that, or can not stand up for himself or for his woman. You don't have to be an a-hole to do those things. You just have to have a sac. |

(((Lily)) someday they'll get it. Bad boys are just nice guys with hard shells... They are just as bad. Give me an honest guy, a guy that can go toe to toe with me and (sometimes) win. Give me a guy who won't cancel a date with me to help his neighbor, but go over the next day to put up dry wall or whatever. Give me a guy who tells me "no" and doesn't apologise for it. Between "nice" guy and "hard azz" lies MAN.... that's who I want. |
