Ok guys, so why is it when they find a woman that fits most of these qualifications do they totally ignore her?

What if she had a friendly personality, had a good job, was a good mother, made sure she was a caring and loving person? That's all fine and good, as far as it goes (except for the mother part, which is an immediate deal-breaker for me), but I personally need someone who is intelligent and creative and a good communicator -- otherwise, I will get bored very quickly. It also helps if she fits into one of the physical categories I like. |

That's how it looks to me, anyway. There seems to be this "need" to present oneself (and this goes for both genders) as being somehow "above" strictly physical attractions. And that requires at least the facade of being not "shallow" -- but how honest is it? I have noticed this phenomenon on dating sites for ages -- most of the time, a woman who says she wants someone with "honesty, brains, funny, sensitive, etc." will completely ignore him when he shows up. I'm sure guys do it too. The point is, it does raise a question about the legitimacy of their original statement about what matters to them. Either that, or they simply can't make a decision and stick to it....? |

her soul. the way she smells coming in from the cold,(intoxicating)her hair, gently brushing my cheek, as i nuzzle her neck, the curve of her inner thigh, the way she paints with her words during a late-night, looking up at the stars, or ceiling discussion. just for starters...... you have an amazing gift that i can see, but you're not using it to full advantage. you have tremendous intuition, but you second guess yourself and over anylize the situation....i used to do this, and later, i let go, before cell phones, just answering machines, i got so intune that i could leave the house, and know when someone is going to call, or not, and "when" i listened, lol, it was 100 pecent accurate... you have that same perception, i can see it. you can apply it to more than that though. don't ever be afraid of who you are, for it is you, and you're not showing off, you're just showing you, by expressing yourself differently than you normally would by art work instead. ...I have never seen this side of darkowl1 before, (and I have been around a year and a half now)...he really IS human! j/k...very impressive though...better watch out or some unattatched lady will scoop ya up!   |

And it is because of this that we see all the "Nice Guy" threads...which really piss me off cause it is like the guy who originally posted it is whining his ass off. A guy can be nice, sweet, funny and an all around good person. But if he doesn't have looks, then you know he will get shot down (and this is vice versa too). |
