What if she had a friendly personality,
had a good job,
was a good mother,
made sure she was a caring
and loving person?

Sounds like a winner. flowerforyou

A functioning brain is always good.

Sure but what about creativity? Talent?

How must she use her mind?

Fair question. Keep in mind that this is only my personal preference.

She needs to be able to think about things beyond the " normal " everyday things.

Questions like " Do you think we are alone in the Universe? " should not be scoffed at, but rather thought through. Being able to give the answer in a relatively clear manner.

I'm not looking for a Mensa member, but I would like to be able to ask a question like that without getting an answer like " Yes. " Well why not?? " I dunno. Just because ".

The imagination to be able to seriously think about things like that is what I am looking for.

Of course, a sense of humor is an absolute MUST....lol

you have an amazing gift that i can see, but you're not using it to full advantage. you have tremendous intuition, but you second guess yourself and over anylize the situation....i used to do this, and later, i let go, before cell phones, just answering machines, i got so intune that i could leave the house, and know when someone is going to call, or not, and "when" i listened, lol, it was 100 pecent accurate... you have that same perception, i can see it. you can apply it to more than that though.

What if she had a good mind- was creative,
could write or paint but- didn't like to be a show off with her talents?

don't ever be afraid of who you are, for it is you, and you're not showing off, you're just showing you, by expressing yourself differently than you normally would by art work instead.

My ex g/f is a painter. She isn't technically perfect in her style, but she does some very nice work.

She always gave her paintings away. She had no confidence in her ability. After a bit of prodding on my part, she finally started selling her paintings and some other artwork that she does. She is doing pretty well with them. Not making huge money, but making more than she ever thought she could.

If the woman in question has a creative mind, but doesn't have confidence in her abilities, then I would do whatever I could to encourage her.

Creativity is important. It's not a " be all end all " for me, but it IS important. Mainly because being creative is usually the only way someone can keep up with the way I think. lol

Huh?? Who does??

I mean-do men like to see these things flaunted?

It totally depends on the man. If he is secure with who he is, then he wouldn't mind being with someone who has a talent and shows it.

Is a woman who flaunts talents ever a turn off?-can it go too far?

That's the million dollar question. And it's just not an easy answer.

The first thing I notice and connect with is the sense of humor.. the bantering and laughing. But there are just so many intangibles for me. Most of the women to whom I've been strongly attracted I had known for some time before it happened. And conversely, most of the women to whom I am immediately attracted either are not attracted to me or it quickly fades for lack of any significant connection.

Short answer..... it's a crap shoot.

heck no, nobody's that! just for her to be how she is, and be even, none of that i'm the man, i'm the woman thing, just soul to soul. people play those trump cards with the male-female thing too often....what about best friends, and melt-into-lovers...... a piece of paper just claims ownership over one. we will want to be, or not want to be with the one we love....no justification should decide, just us in pure form.

A woman that is open to "LEARNING" I find that we learn all our life and when one stop wanting to learn more life gets boring "CHANGE" nobody stays the same if you can't change your way of thinking you stand still "LAUGHTER" if you can't have a sense of humor then life is no fun "COMMON SENSE" nothing good ever comes on being stubborn got to accept reality and live with it "A BIG LOVING HEART" I give all my heart to the one I love and I want the same in a woman.

Might be that they think they are the problem solvers and all potent when they have a woman in their life? Then reality sinks in and they have someone to blame.

What is it that men find attractive about a woman?

As far as physical attraction goes, I like women a bit slender since I am too, and curvy helps; long hair & big eyes.

Intelligence & self respect are a must. Women who know who they are & don't rely on a man for their happiness.
