I would have to say one of the reasons that some people...like myself...have come and gone is just the reasons mentioned. The threads are so overdone and most are the kind of minless dribble that sounds like junior high. Then when there is a topic that stimulates thoughtful discussion...some dumba$$ comes in an disrupts the flow by going "OFF TOPIC" or just plain hijacking the thread...or simply turning it into a potty mouth fest.
Then of course there are the mutual admiration "cliques" who are all kissy-kissy with each other and anybody who doesn't play that BS is verbally gang raped in the forums...but if you return fire with a sarcastic, witty, intellectually funny remark...they run crying foul to the mods. This site doesn't so much need to GROW as it needs to GROW-UP. |

Why is it so hard to find a date, what am I doing wrong, All men are jerks, the person above you, would you date me, yo ladies hit me up, I think I will be single forever, dating some one who is overweight, dating outside your race, I just started here & no luck getting a date, cheating, I'm a nice guy, blah, blah, blah, hows the quest for employment going buddy???? I have noticed that the people of jsh/O+U/mingle2 are very cyclical....~~meaning they come and go alot~~ old-timers are replaced and a new bunch steps in... this brings up alot of topics that have been discussed to death....and all of the same old answers.... discuss.... We used to have a group of REAL old-timers who would moan every time a topic would be brought up by a newbie -- "Oh, that's been posted seventy-two times already" -- not taking into account that new people are signing up all the time, and every "nice guy" thread is somebody's first. Some of the old crew had developed a truly bizarre entitlement attitude about the site -- they wanted it to stay stagnant, exactly as it had been the day they joined, and THAT is not a good scenario for those of us who want to see the site grow and prosper. Most of that group ended up leaving after remarking, "This isn't MY JSH anymore." The point is, it never WAS "their" JSH. It belongs to all of us. And that means we need to have a little tolerance when we see a question asked for the 75th time. Somebody is seeing it asked for the first time. I have to agree Lex, it was kind of stupid to even think this was their site. You would keep on seeing how they would be posting and complaining how new people were joining the site. Um, that was the whole purpose of making a dating site As for the same post being run over and over and over again. Yeah and if i'm right, the OP made a thread about lurkers. This is more then half the reason i may look at a post but wont reply because in the two years i been on here. a lot of topic's have been talk to death and you will always have new people joining the forum, so them topic's are expected. Over all, this site does need to grow, because being the way it is and looking at it from a man's point and vew. Any new women that comes on to the forum is attacked by the hawlk's on here  more so to the women if I recalll.. It was quite rediculas really. And I do beleive most of them are gone now. However have been replaced with new ones who thinks they arent a "newbie" but in actuality are I don't understand it at all .. for when iI signed up here I was single and looking and at what? 2 pages of guys 5+ yrs or 5- yrs within 50 miles. Wasn't much of a choice if you ask me. I havent looked for a long time how many pages there are now.. but its way more now! If that is what you are here for then why all the complaints?.. Crap I'm not here for that and I'm not complaining, I think "newbies" are a good thing. JMO..Deb

It's the damn economy...and it is going to get worse before it get better. Personally...I am one of the "unemployed" that has given up looking...we don't get counted. |

Can't fault a noob for asking... but do these sights ever evolve or is it more of a recyle.... Humm but is this Topic not also recyled as well? But it is being answered due to some have not asked it before. Myself if they have been asked over and over and I do not want to answer them again then I just pass the thread up. New people are curious and it is easier for them to ask the question then to try to dig it up from 300 and something pages. |

 ok so I did a search. 27 pages now! Without "newbies" and "newbies threads" If I were still single , I would only have 2 pages of choices rather than 27. Furthermore wow where were those guys when I was single? Perhaps maybe I would of met one of those! You people are lucky to have that...I post sometimes in a redone thread but not always..

Oh how I remember this too more so to the women if I recalll.. It was quite rediculas really. And I do beleive most of them are gone now.
