Why do they number highway mile markers west to east? They also number them south to north... The big freeway numbers are in the north like the I-80...(running east and west) and the small freeway numbers are in the south like the I-10 (running east and west) For north/south running freeways... the small numbers start on the west coast (Like the I-5 in California)... and the large numbers end up on the east coast... (Like I-95) ... |

(Like I-95) ... Yeah, I know...but WHY???? I will say when traveling westbound (my usual) that's dandy - a good way to count down. Going east across a state you don't really know how many miles there are and can't play the "how many left" math game to keep yourself alert. Guess what I did a lot of this past week??? (yep...east to west and visa versa!) |

Is it just shutting down at random times??? Yep...I've done the usual stuff and I'm actually NOT an idiot(despite the rumors! LOL!) I've have actually disassembled and reassembled a PC & am not afraid to try just about anything... It could be that the dilectric ( I am pretty sure I spelled that wrong ) under the processor is getting old. It might be allowing too much heat to build up. That will cause random shutdowns. You said you checked the fans, but did you open up the case to check the CPU heat sink?? It could have a bunch of crud in it. That can cause the CPU to overheat which will also make the computer shut down. |

I'm listening to the same CD over and over and over and over... WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME? Hopefully it's something good. Like Airbourne...or Theory of a Deadman...or even the new Nickelback cd. |

It could be that the dilectric ( I am pretty sure I spelled that wrong ) under the processor is getting old. It might be allowing too much heat to build up. That will cause random shutdowns. You said you checked the fans, but did you open up the case to check the CPU heat sink?? It could have a bunch of crud in it. That can cause the CPU to overheat which will also make the computer shut down. Oh yeah...the case comes off (critical to C-L-E-A-N-I-N-G) I'm thinking it may be ready for replacement...by summer my kiddo will need a laptop for college and I can't think of a reason for me getting a desktop again. A docking station, perhaps...but certainly not another box. Recommendations? |

My ex g/f sprays her paintings with an acrylic spray that is clear when it dries. I don't remember what it's called but you can get it at just about any art supply store. I think Wal Mart carries it too. |

There are few of the standard " Nickelback " sounding songs on the new one....but there are a couple that sound quite a bit different than their normal stuff too. Details, man! Like track title so I can go have a preview online... I have to stop buying music now. My children are complaining that there is never anything on my holiday gift list. I'm only buying the new Killers CD on Tuesday for the drive to CO on Wed but THAT'S IT! I'm PROHIBITED per the young'uns! <sigh> |
