My apologies to anybody in here that I may offended today.

No way you can see what I am going through at this end, but no reason for me to bring it here. For that I am sorry.

It doesn't include anyone here at all... but because I am a weak, imperfect human, I dumped it here and affected lots...

My apologies.

I won't be back.

Feel free to beat me up, it is what I need I guess.

But been doing a pretty good job beating myself up all day...

I'm sorry, I'm not perfect. Things I typed here were wrong and got out of hand, but nothing going on here at home has anything to do with anybody here... just punchy today.

JustAGuy...

Will galendgirl and I ever have lunch together?

Hmmm...seems I owe you lunch or dinner if I'm ever in the area, so who knows??? JustAGuy???

Well...at this point I am Union only because my workplace is a closed shop. We have to be in the union to work there.

NM is the same...it's a pain in my rear, frankly. The promises are without substance and most people know it and have no voice OUTSIDE of whatever the stewards say...I think that stinks!

Are you saying we need to meet at McDonald's for the Playland?

What does having kids have to do with McDonald's playland??? Have you ever played in the ball pit??? It's a RIOT!

WOW...I go do productive work for a day (sorry, JAG!) and this thread goes ballistic!

Tman...don't you dare go leaving for good. We'd all miss you - even with moody days - geez, give yourself a break and we will too. Check out the numerous threads that are nothing BUT moody or depressed or flat-out mean...the joy of the internet (and probably the curse) is that it's open access.

As for me (since the question came up and APPARENTLY no one actually reads profiles...LOL!) I have 2 kids, they have been RAISED by me and me alone (thank you very much)and are amazing, incredible young adults that are my very, very best work in the world. I don't take full credit...I was SO BLESSED to have high quality material to work with! Given that I come from a bit of a train-wreck family myself...seeing these terrific people that I adore and am also both friends with/mom to is an incredible high...no matter what else I do well or do crappy in life...I've got THAT going on!

If we ever get a chance to do lunch (Tman or anyone I would be honored to meet in person) I'm game...even if it's McD's playground (cuz that would be HILARIOUS!)

Relationships are possible...dang hard work, I'm sure, but my rose colored glasses tell me they do exist. I've seen 'em! Not sure if I'm ever gonna have another one, but hey...it's nice to know that someone, somewhere is having that life...kinda warms the heart vicariously. Not a bad deal, all in all...

People are people...online and in person...flawed, fabulous...some are big fakers and are just yanking your chain. Some are good and honest and would never hurt a fly. But everybody has got their own S&%t going on so give 'em a break. We are all people first and spiritual people second in terms of this life on earth...sometimes we suck at the latter!

The internet may be a modern day S&Gomorrah at times, but hey! At least we can visit from the comfort of our own homes (jammies? wine? whatever?) and make our escape just as easily...

Hang in there and know that life really is okay. Whatever is eating at you is sure to pass...just give it a chance.

Now...let's all just be happy and keep this thread rollin' rollin' rollin' along...cuz it's a blast and if that's not something in and of itself, I'm not Galendgirl :)

Luvs to EVERYONE here!

Can I ask a JAG question now???

Given that I have now finished 3 of 4 mosaic projects that are intended to be Christmas gifts...(you said they'd be done on Dec 24th, I believe...so I'm ahead of schedule - woo-hoo!)

How long will it take me to go to the post office to actually MAIL said gifts???

Why do scalloped potatoes ALWAYS eek over the edge of the casserole dish?

Is the smoke alarm a true indication of your culinary skills???

Because as potatoes cook, they swell up just a bit.

Leave a little more room at the top of the dish before baking and that should solve the problem.

Absolutely not. They sometimes go off because of heat or steam....not smoke.

OR the scalloped potatoe milky stuff dripping into the bottom of the oven and burning...how nice(NOT!) But my son was thrilled that I was domestic and cooked something while we were both at home (which is a rarity in and of itself)so the smoke alarm just added to the fun!

Of course...that's gonna put us back into the "how many days do leftovers last" line of questioning because I never manage to just cook 2 small and perfect servings <sigh>

Speaking of my idiot son...(actually he's a freakin' genius so I can't really relate...)

Did you know you can make a straw out of a banana by putting an actual straw through the banana, removing it, then drinking hot cocoa through the aforementioned/previously skewered banana?

Are there drugs to a)stop his inquiring minds wants to know mentality (really...tonights little experiment is just flat-out GOOFY!) or to b)prevent me from rolling my eyes in disbelieve, amazement and wonder every day?

He makes me laugh...what could be better???

I'm gonna give that trick to my kiddo to try....haha.
Might be a good way to get her to eat a banana.

Goodnight all. It's been a challenging day. Sleep well and I hope everyone has a great week.

Just be prepared to never be able to keep enough bananas in the house! LOL!

Sleep well!

I did NOT know that. Of course, it's a bit bizarre...even for me. lol

If nothing else....give your son MAJOR points for creativity...lmao
