Topic: Wiccans | |

Hi Everyone, We've had, how many dozens of wiccan posters asking if there are other wiccans here. How many have stayed? Here's what I propose. Keep this thread going and make it the longest running 'Wiccan' thread ever. It can be sort of like the WELCOME thread for any who come here and want to meet up with other Wiccans. Yea? So let's make it sort of a "meeting place", a stop off point for all new incoming Wiccans or any Pagans who choose to stop in. We can all all stop in to say we're here, or that we're leaving or will be gone for X amount of time. We can all welcome newcomers and in general just hold the "room" open, to show the diversity of the "religious" community. good idea? I think that is a great idea! If all of us post something regularly it will be available for new people. Thanks for the great idea. That’s a great idea. It would also give folks who are interested but scared or have questions an opportunity to ask instead of worrying about it which happens a lot. People imagine the worst very often because of movies or what they perceive this to be. |

I'm EXTREMELY sorry if I have lead your topic away from it's origianl intent. I'm just having fun. It's all good. I sometimes get carried away from an original topic. nakedness and whipped cream can be very distracting. |

I’m not but have been studying it for some time and it’s REALLY fascinating. But I do have to warn you there can be some aggressive Christians that peruse these forums. Hopefully no problems will arise but you never know. Blessed Be. Did I do something wrong by posting this here? Like I said, I'm new and just getting the hang of all this. Nope, it is titled Religion Chat. It doesn’t state anywhere, what religion you have to be to post. As for the judgmental "Christians", slap them with "Judge not lest thee be Judged." Again, I will state that I’m a Christian, please don’t lump us all together. Do celtic Christians skyclad? I know a good spot for it in PA. |

I know several Christians who work together with leaders from all the different faiths in this community to promote religious tolerance. I also know several Pagans who just as mean and nasty towards Christians as any Christian ever was towards a Pagan. I have called them on it as well. I'm glad you're here. Thank you. |

Hi nice to meet you too. I'm more into Celtic Christianity, which is for lack of a better description, is nature based. There was a website that someone posted just the other day, I think it was Tribo, or maybe Jeanniebean. Anyway is was about the "lost gospels of Jesus". It claims to have found them in a Buddhist temple or something? I don't recall the details. However, what I do remember clearly is that it claims that Jesus taught that all life is sacred, not just humans. They claim that he taught vegetarianism and not to eat meat. He was supposedly very much into all of nature. It is claimed that someone didn't like this because they didn't want to give up eating meat. Plus they wanted to be able to claim that humans are superior to animals, whilst the lost gospels have Jesus claiming that all animals are spiritual. Interesting stuff. Whether true or not, I think it makes a great tale. I pretty sure it was Tribo or Jeannie, or maybe Bushiobilly. I can't remember who posted the link, but I wish I would have saved it. Sorry if this was slightly off topic to the original thread. <Warning: Rant> Since Jesus is a fictional character anyway in my opinion, any so-calledf "lost gospels" have to be a forgery or a fraud. It has been suggested that vegetarians are passive people, less violent. Christianity was created as a passive "turn the other cheek" kind of belief system by the Romans because they wanted to be able to control them easier. Getting people to eat only vegetables is part of the dumbing down and submissiveness training techniques being used on the population. The ruthless powers that be.. want submissive obedient slaves, (cattle) not slaves who think or revolt. The more they can convince them to be submissive and obedient and the more they can dumb them down and get them to eat plants, the more timid they become. Eat meat. Become a meatatarian. Question everything, question authority. Stop letting people lead you around by your noses. </end of rant.> JB |

However, I try to only eat meat that is not commercially grown. But, that is only for health reasons. I am in full agreement with you in regards to the powers that be using any and all methods to control the masses. |

Wow. Wild game is good. I raise rabbits now for meat. Works out well because you can freeze them and people will buy any you want to sell. And of course they breed like rabbits so you always can have them, even winter.
