I haven't even been to the other religion board or all the boards yet. I'm very tempted to go there with the sole purpose of pissing people off. devil

Well that will be very easy.

Just say that you don't believe in Christianity and you'll be stoned to death. laugh

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Witchcraft and Shamanism

Please note:

This thread is not limited to Wicca. We discuss all manner of the following.

Witchcraft
Shamanism
Law of Attraction
Eastern Mysticism
The Way of the Wizard
Yoga

And basically anything else of interest.

Ruth is the Host of the thread. If you say anything to piss her off the wicked witch of the west will devour your shoes!

Any and all comments, contributions or questions are welcome.

I’m a tenderfoot shaman just starting out on the path of witchcraft. I like to pretend I know what I’m talking about but don’t pay me no mind.

And as always, it’s nice to just drop in to “Just Say Hi!”.

Just as a heads-up, we've been discussing some books that Ruth has recommended to me in my quest for knowledge of witchcraft.

The books that we've discuss (very lightly) are:

Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practicioner, by Scott Cunningham.

And some of the Temple Books by Christopher Penczak.

I'm personally starting in on the first three of his 'Temple' series.

1. The Inner Temple of Witchcraft
2. The Outer Temple of Witchcraft
3. The Temple of Shamanic Witchcraft

We would be very interested in hearing of any other materials, books or journeys.

Recently we've discussed very breifly, the following topics:

1. Circle casting
2. Meditation techniques
3. Visulization
4. Shamanic journeying
5. The 5 Tibetian Rites
6. The Witchyness of Catholicism. laugh

And Shamanic Drumming. bigsmile

I'm personally very interested in hearing anyone's experience with shamanic journeys of any kind.

Welcome to the new Witches! flowerforyou

And/or Witchy-like people.

I've sent out some emails to some 'witchy-like' people.

Hopefully, we'll see an increase in traffic.

We need to pass the word around. I'm sure there are a lot of 'witchy-like' people out there.

And Eastern Mystics are more than welcome as well. flowerforyou

There have been many people that have passed through and posted a question or two, never to return. I think a lot of people are curious but then have their own reservations about it.

I just witnessed the other day on a post Abra made where he basically gave a positive endorsement to Witchcraft and immediately a member responded in utter disgust that he would dare speak publicly about such things. huh

Yeah the term "perved" is something that originated on this website I do declare and it's referring to whenever someone looks at another person's profile. You claim that you were "perved" by them. happy

Yes, I saw that remark. It can be very unsettling when you get a response like that. There are people here who will not speak to me or acknowledge me in the threads because I'm a witch.

There are quite a few people who read this thread but don't post. Several of them have emailed me privately. I don't blame them for not wanting to post publicly.

That's truly sad.

And it's all because of that one hateful religion with it's stupid jealous God.

The religion supposedly teaches people not to judge others yet that's all they know how to do.

It's truly sad.

I think we can all thank Mike and Van for creating this "Other Religion" forum.

It's like our Circle of Protection keeping out the evil spirits. laugh

Let them proselytize their hate in the General Religion forums. Just stay out of there. I'm sick of it and I'm done with it.

Let's just be thankful to Mike and Van for giving us a Circle of Protection. bigsmile

Let the haters spread their hate for Jesus' sake.

We have a nice peaceful place now. flowers

I have to post a link to an article I read yesterday, but it's at work. It was about the Buddhist teachings of being completely in the present and of mindfulness. I knew of these before, but it was a really good reminder to practice this. I am so much more peaceful and things don't bother me as much when I do this.

It's so easy to live in the past and future constantly. And in doing so, completely missing what is going on right now.

It took me over 6 hours to make the above image.

I used ideas from existing images on the net but it still took me that long to complete this the way I wanted it. I may even change some colors to print it out. laugh

Instead of counting down from 12 to 1 and visualizing the numbers when I meditate, I think I'm going to use the zodiac instead and just call out the sign suns in the following order and visualize their symbols instead of the numbers.

Capricorn
Aquarius
Pisces
Aries
Taurus
Gemini
Cancer
Leo
Virgo
Libra
Scorpio
Sagittarius

Hey, I'm just starting out. I may as well do it the way I like.

Cool Abra. I found this also to sort of solidify the concept of "Right and Left brain dominance"

Sit at your computer but out loud say the color name and not the written word.

See if you can do it in less than a minute.
