Yes well it looks like all those minorities who voted for OBAMA are also moral conservatives. happy

Can you please refrain from this bigotry in every thread?

Thanks.

I asked for her opinion !
Do not come into my threads harassing people.

Move on !

Asking someone to refrain from racism isn't harassing anyone. Sorry.

Plus, I'll post where I please.

Move on.

Don't you find it ironic, as a minority, supporting someone bashing minorities? Are you self hating, perhaps?

I don't think she was doing that !
No I'm not self hating...and what a rude thing to say.

Please move on without further comment !

Dont'cha know nuttin' honey??? Anyone who disagrees with the twisted logic of LIBS is self hating & racist. The REVISIONIST montra. laugh laugh

Technically, though not religious at all.
Yep.
noway noway noway noway noway noway noway noway

Did you assume I was a lesbian because I support gay rights? Do you even know anyone who is gay? I bet you do and don't even realize.

pretty please...blushing ...lol...actually I know a few gay people...none in my immediate family, and mostly female...

Hmm. You didn't answer the other question. Did you actually assume I was a lesbian because I support gay rights?

well...you seemed to be MORE then just someone who supports gay rights...more of an activist...

I guess you don't know many people who support gay rights. I have many, many friends who are gay. I'd love to see them have the same rights as everyone else. And, it disgusts me that even now, when it's almost 2009, people are still so homophobic. I find that to be pretty crazy.

I think what happened in California, Flordia, and ?...help me with the last state...was it Utah...anyway...I think most people voted the way they did...because they're looking at it in a sexual way...and they don't approve...in time...this country will eventually soften it's ways...change takes time...

I think gays are heterophobics...so there

They say it doesn't entitle them to get married...they can get married just like the rest of us... with a member of the opposite sex.

Insomuch as this appears to be a state's rights issue, CA has spoken. The majority of voters have let it be known how they feel about this issue. That is how the system works--for now. There are a number of people out there who are against Roe v. Wade--but their feelings on the issue don't much matter as it pertains to the law. There are strong opinions on both sides of this issue and there will continue to be debate over whether this is right or wrong. But for now, the voters in CA have had their say. If you don't like how they voted, work to introduce legislation or mount a legal challenge. Coming here and calling people homophobic is as silly as it is unproductive.

Not just in Ca...but Fla & another state as well.

democracy is the wants of the majority trampling the rights of the minority

this is a church and state issue

show one legitimate argument against gay marriage that is not founded in religion

I can think of a few...like...

try self control..

to protect children...

it's against the law...

One can easily justify being for gay marriage, just as easily on can justify being against it.

It seems to me, constantly harping on people that are against it, is not much different from harping on people that are for it.

There is a pattern here. Is gay marriage really the issue?

Being close minded is a huge issue in this country. Sure, people can have their own beliefs, but when they want a whole group of people to conform to their beliefs, that's a problem. If someone doesn't like homosexuality, fine. They should have no right to tell them they aren't allowed to do things though, because they don't believe in it or think it's normal.

No. I'm not saying you need to think the way I do or to change your beliefs. But, those beliefs are yours. Go to church if you'd like. Hang out with straight people if you'd like. But let others live their own lives without telling them what they want to do shouldn't be legal.
