Actually, Gnosticism is as old as Christianity. It's not new at all.

well its new to me

well then maybe you shouldn't comment on things you don't know anything about. flowerforyou

Hmmm I think he was only asking a question.. just as I was. That's what you're supposed to do when you don't know what something is....

No actually he said, "you people and creating denominations" in addition to his question. And, the way you asked your question was equally condescending.
drinker drinker Here, Here, thank youflowers and I do believe my question was, "Are their any other Gnostic Christians here?" Obviously you both are not, so why waste everyone's time by being condescending, nasty and swear at me when I wasn't even talking to you? Thank you to all others who haven't been nasty. I'm a good Christian woman so I am going to hold my head high and take the high road, it's what Jesus would want me to doflowers

just like all other people who are devout to a religion. I simply asked what your religion was all about. seeing as this question is too blasphemous to you, I won't even bother asking who is the prophet who created this sect. sorry to offend you.

Gnosticism (Greek: γνώσις gnōsis, knowledge) refers to a diverse, syncretistic religious movement consisting of various belief systems generally united in the teaching that humans are divine souls trapped in a material world created by an imperfect god, the demiurge, who is frequently identified with the Abrahamic God.

I would agree untill it says created by an imperfect Elohim. Thier i would and must differ.. Blessings...Miles

I don't consider myself religious. I am Spiritual though. I actually don't believe in "organized" religion

I am not a Gnostic Christian, however, I have read some things about it and find it very interesting.

Doing a little more research I do not believe the definition I found is a very good one. Wikipedia seems to make its own claims to imperfection.

Finding that these are the evangels that were found in Egypt. 50 of them books of such. I would not dismiss them. Without reading them.

We know Yahshua kept the Law and so did the Disciples and it was done away about the same time the Gnostics were declared Heretics.

Yahshua did not bring anything new. He even said so. The letter of the law and the commandments that were against us was the Religious Elite. The Pharasees mainly as they had become corrupt.

So these books to be valid would have to not disagree with the Scriptures ie.. OT. If any of them do not but I know some do as in Barnabus for one and the Evangel of Mary but if others do not then thier is light that can be taken from them and a better understanding. We know the scriptures have been messed with a couple of clear places would be Heb. 4:8 and Acts 12:4 then it goes to doubt that many authenic books were at this time probally declared Heretical also. Shalom..Miles

Are their any fellow Gnostic Christians here?

Here is the piece of the Goggle-gathered info so far that had my immediate interest:

being freed from these illusions of darkness so that they can perceive Reality

These illusions of darkness are perpetuated by many Man-made religions. Putting fear into the minds of our people.

Gnostic Christianity is certainly something of interest to me. Thank you for bringing it up, Red.
