What would you say to someone that was lying on their deathbed, persay they were a family member whom you lost contact with years prior?

there's generally more to it than that...
hurt feelings, betrayal, etc etc..if you have the time
to talk about it great, if not, be the big person, and apologize and let them go in peace...
it's for them, not you...ya know...

i'll end up having to do this with my dad one day *sighs*

ummm, i got nuthin....

weird. i was just making an attempt at writing a poem for my grandma that passed away a couple months ago.

i seen her the day before she passed and it was pretty sad to see. she was in alot of pain and still trying to hang in there, but at the same time she was wanting to let herself go cuz she was tired of fighting everything. she was told 8 years ago she had 2 months to lived, and lived 8 more years.

some of the last things i told her was to hang in there, she opened her eyes and smiled. i also told her ill miss her, didnt get a response. i grabbed her hand and she opened her eyes and in a really bad painful voice said water. when i ended up leaving, she gave me one last smile and looked me in the eye while she did it before i left.

i didnt really know what to do or say, its a really weird feeling when its happening and right in front of you.

Why wouldn't they be honest on their deathbed? And if they weren't being truthful, would you really call them on it? I mean, they're dying. That's just harsh. Dying and getting picked on.

not in person, unless u call watching my grandma on her death bed "watching her dying" than yea. after i left and got home, 4 hours later i got a call that she passed.
