How do you guys feel about Obama's associations?

How do you guys feel about Obama's plan to raise the Capital Gains tax?

Do you think the fact that every major anti-American group and country in the world has come out in support of Obama indicates?

He's not raising the capital gains tax. He's getting rid of it.

His associations? What do you mean by that?

Every anti-American group? I don't know if it is every. But..who cares.

No, he's raising the Capital Gains tax. His plan changed, because it was polling low, but he is still planning on raising Capital gains taxes.

Associations? Bill Ayers (unrepentant terrorist), Bernardine Dohrn (unrepentant terrorist), Tony Rezko (Corrupt fund raiser who has done favors for Obama), Jeremiah Wright (Racist preacher and mentor for 20 years), Larry Walsh (BOs close friend and poker buddy, currently under investigation by the FBI)

Who cares? Obviously they know something you don't or maybe you do and just won't admit it? When BO comes out and claims to strongly support Israel, but Israel's enemies support him for president, something doesn't smell right. Obviously you're apathetic about this, but some people might actually care what their candidates political goals are.

Osama endorsed McCain. I don't care. I only care about what they can do for our country.

I have seen no evidence about Obama raising capital gains tax. I've only seen evidence to the contrary.

I don't care if Bill Ayers was Obama's friend when he was young. I don't care what his pastor says.

You have seen no evidence? I have a trick you can try...LOOK. Type "Obama Capital Gains Tax" into any search engine and you will find that he is going to raise the Capital Gains Tax. Originally his plan was to raise it to 28% across the board, but he changed it to raise it to 20% on anyone above $250,000, but Biden has said that number is actually $150,000. "No evidence" laugh

Have you ever watched South Park? Did you see the episode where Chef was trying to change the cities flag? Two rednecks didn't want the flag changed, so they got the KKK to support Chef's bid to change the flag. Why? Their reasoning was that nobody would want to do something that the KKK supported.

Osama's no dummy. He knew what his declaration of support would mean for McCain, so obviously he wasn't doing it because he wants McCain in office. Obama's supporters are sincere and honestly want him to win.

The war on terror is actually going quite well. Osama is afraid of another 4 years of Bushes policies. His organization is being taken apart piece by piece. They are far weaker than they were eight years ago.

This is from Obama's website:

Eliminate capital gains taxes for small businesses, cut corporate taxes for firms that invest and create jobs in the United States, and provide tax credits to reduce the cost of healthcare and to reward investments in innovation.

I don't watch South Park, btw.

So if I criticize Obama, I must be a McCain supporter? Sorry, but you really shouldn't assume. I DON'T support McCain. Operative word being "DON'T". I have recently come to the conclusion that McCain is a better man for the job that Obama, I was undecided (I couldn't figure out which was the lesser of the two evils) for a long time. Obama is definitely the worst of the two, by a fair margin too.

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/money_co/2008/08/what-would-pres.html

Sen. Barack Obama's campaign on Thursday spelled out the details of the Democratic presidential candidate’s tax plan on his website and in an op-ed piece in the Wall Street Journal.

I just wanted to note the basic proposals for capital gains and dividend tax rates here:

--- Families with incomes below $250,000 would pay current capital gains rates (a maximum tax of 15% on gains on assets held more than one year). Those earning more than $250,000 would face an increase -- a top rate of 20%.

--- The top dividend tax rate would remain the current 15% for those earning less than $250,000, but would rise to 20% for those earning above that threshold.

--- For single people, the tax increases above would apply to those earning more than $200,000.

The presumptive Republican nominee, Sen. John McCain, has endorsed keeping President Bush’s current tax rates as they are.

I took advantage of the early voting this year and cast my votes last week.

Yes, my votes were very informed decisions. You can also bet your last tax dollar that my information was NOT gathered by anything I read copied/pasted in a dating site thread either.

Just a sidenote to all vigilante voters this election: Be sure to cast your state congress/senate votes wisely because if you are accurately informed and educated in the sport of politics, you will know that these are the ones that actually make our country tick-tock.

And for the non-voters out there...have another macaroon and beer in front of your boob-tube. drinker My response to any and all of your b*tching in a year...or two...will be: yawn

I'm voting in the morning.bigsmile

me too
bright and early
a lot of issues on the ballot
I'm reading over them now

Let me know what you think of Prop. A. I have to leave but I'll be back. I don't know what's the best thing to do with that one. I am assuming you vote on it too.

I am voting NO on Prop A. because they are removing the $500
loss limit among other things.

it has a lot of pork attached to it and will benefit no one but the casinos

check out this site and it may give you some insight...

http://www.nopropa.com/web.htm

Thanks, I'll check into that link. I'll email you too.

I look forward to that
I am off to start dinner
I'll be back soon

After 8:00 tonight. Have my Dad's opinion on A to talk about. He agrees with you.

it's sad that they will use education as a veil and a means to make more money

the casinos were supposed to help out schools when people voted for them in the 1990's and they still haven't done a darn thing

And I agree with your point...to a point.

However, you made a point of bashing those who are still "sitting on the fence" on the eve of this election and going so far as to call them "liars" for not having made their mind up yet. ohwell

I don't know about YOU...but, have you ever stood at the counter of Baskin Robbins and him-haw'd over what flavor you desire before actually placing your order?

Why should YOU place such harsh judgment on others who are still internally debating who will decide the fate of this nation before they pull the curtain behind them tomorrow?

To me, THAT was the point of your thread as stated in your own words originally. ohwell
