I am very interested in seeing what percentage of race votes for their candiate of the same race. I really hope people look past their color and actually look at what their choice stands for. I read some where that African American are supposed to have their highest turn out at the polls, is that because of obama's color. or would they vote for him if he was a black republican. Hopefully this post doesnt make me sound like David Duke, i was just wondering what people of all colors thought. Let me know what u think

I think race will probably have some effect on the outcome of the elected president, although I don't feel it should be. We live in the 21st century and if someone is still being racist in either direction (which I know there are some of those out there) then they need to get a clue. We're all in this thing together. It's about what is best for the country, not about whose skin is what color...

Many African Americans are Democrat. Obama is Democrat.

I'm white and I'm voting for Obama.

wow

Here is a damning fact.

The majority of people of all races voted for a white man in the last presidential election!!

Pretty scary eh?

But, check out this fact

How the military would vote - we see, it's a racial issue (Afro-American vote for Obama, because he's black)

http://www.militarytimes.com/static/projects/pages/081003_ep_2pp.pdf

68% for McCain
23 for Obama

He is losing the race (smile) as he sure shouldn't sit in THAT seat because he is not
THE
ONE! The Military times did FIFTEEN (15) voting polls against all factors, O lost them all, but the one on race, hummmmmm

Peace, BB

Except for the part where the majority of African-Americans are already aligned with the Democrats and white Democrats have been winning most of the African American vote for years.

Are you voting for McCain because he's white?

I am voting for what I can live with for the next 4/8 years
color has nothing to do with it....

I know plenty of African-Americans that are Republicans or Independents...

some are voting with their political party
and the others are voting for Obama

not because he is black, but because they are tired of the way the country has been run into the ground

I was curious... so I went out and button holed(hare krishna style polling) a few people of different races.

suprise... Quite a few (many more then I thought) of african-american's DO NOT WANT Obama in office... (mostly because he has a bad track record as far as they were concerned).

A lot of the other (i.e. white) voters I talked to that WERE voting for Obama had almost no knowledge of the issues but were voting for him because of his race (ain't that a hoot).

I really feel the african-americans who would only vote for Obama because he is black are the same ones who have probably never voted before, so more than likely still will not vote. -

Unfortunately, they will be the same people out in the streets rioting afterwards making it all about race and prejudices should Obama not win...which is sad.

There you go thinking again! Does that mean everyone who voted was a hater?
