Topic: Let’s do away with racism.

I want to have an open discussion about how dumb the term African-American is. I mean you don’t really see other races running around calling themselves IRISH Americans or Korean Americans. I say we just go by names …hey I’m Joe or Hey I am Leroy or hay my name is Jenny etc. What is the point in pointing out someone’s heritage for no good reason? Tell me …I would love to hear why. Better yet lets all just be Americans.

Something that I always find strange. You'll often find someone identifying their heritage and they'll say "and proud". What does that have to do with anything? What are they proud of?

Something that I always find strange. You'll often find someone identifying their heritage and they'll say "and proud". What does that have to do with anything? What are they proud of? You are right. This putting another continents name before Americas name is just plain old divisive. It chops people up into divided groups and actually cuts unity off at the knees.

Maybe because there would be a lot less for some to talk about. Maybe some people wouldn't be able to bring as much attention to themselves. Maybe some people wouldn't be singled out. I agree, if we are not to look at color and all be treated as equals, we should all be under the same classification "Americans". If we are constantly separating ourselves whether it be race, heritage, class or whatever, racism will continue to exist.

They have made all their money off of racism. They keep the money flowing through hate and division. There is a lot of money to be made off of racism you know. Just look at the B.E.T. network or FUBU clothing lines. These enterprises seek to segregate the black communities from the rest of American Society.

I grew up in Detroit and I met way more blacks who were prejudice and hated whites for no real reason other then the fact that they were white. That's a fact. See white America has been shamed and bullied by the media, our legal system, political correctness and white guilt to move away from racism in the last 40 to 50 years. Mean while black America has been given a free pass to act out and behave as they wish when it comes to racial issues.

when it comes down to it we are all HUMAN leave the race, color, religion, political affiliation, etc. out of it and just talk to people the way most want to be talked to with.............. R E S P E C T life would go a lot smoother.....

Then you should start with yourself You are absolutly right there Mr. Mirror, because that is the only person I have any power to change! Perhaps you can start by being an example, you say you aren't racist, but it is clear that you are prejudice against people that have racial tendencies. The two kind of go hand and hand there buddy. You can't transmit something you don't have.

Besides, why can't you ever offer your own opinion without telling everybody else how wrong they are? It's almost as if you think we are not entitled to our own opinions. Isn't that how the whites treated the blacks at one time?
