Enderra, thankyou for opening an interesting thread, and no, I don't hold you responsible, nor expect you to have all the answers, I hope it doesn't feel that way.... Perhaps a link to this info and Splendid and I and others reading this thread, can find some of the answers for ourselves? Yes... Thank you, Enderra. I'm very interested and have already started Googling "Golden Rulers". Any links you might want to share would be welcomed. Thanks Jess....... |

I've heard of Carolyn Myss. |

I really made it up, I just wanted to see if anyone believes in this? And perhaps to meet some like minded people.
Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. So I guess you are allowed to pull one on me sometime. Grace |

I guess, they are more spiritual in the sense that they say there is no separation between themselves and other beings and in fact what is done to one of us is done to us all. Oh ok... and what if those that see there is no separation DON'T call themselves Golden Rulers? Does that make them less evolved? ( This is too funny, I can count at least 10 000 people who KNOW we are not separate and none of them have a golden ruler amongst them...) If one truly knows this, how could they be separate? Never heard of "Golden Rulers". ****Sounds like the beginnings of yet another religion*****. As soon as one attempts to define something absolutely (like labeling them self a "Golden Ruler"), whatever the gift may be will seem to loose something and begin to exist less in reality and more in just theory. **More like a cult |

The Golden Rule is a core element of almost all organized
religions. It is known as the Ethic of Reciprocity and has one terribly great flaw. How do you know that doing unto another is what will actually please them? To go further, you could cause them inadvertently great harm. For example, you like peanut butter and jelly and feed some to a child who has a severe peanut allergy which would make them very seriously ill - perhaps even threaten their life! Thus - the serious study of ethics and behavior. Tread cautiously. Attempt to be kind. Find out what others really desire and need and be kind to them. Minimize harm. reciprocity in the Wiki... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethic_of_reciprocity But yes, evolution is real...and long long ago the Ethic of Reciprocity was developed as a result of human evolution...but we have all progressed a lot since then... |
